A Messiah Complex - August 5th, 2012, 11:52 AM

For the record, I am not creating a thread to discuss whether or not Jesus had one. I am making this thread to discuss modern day experiences with people who have it. You opinion on Jesus is yours and that is cool whatever you think, to me. I have no idea what I believe about that. I wasn't alive back then to witness anything. If you choose to discuss that in here that is on you. I also am not looking for advice, I just am curious what you all have experienced and what your opinion on the topic in general is.

My experience with it is somewhat coming to a tragic front. I have a bf who sees himself as my caretaker and appears to have developed one. This morning it all came out, in text, was quite mind boggling at first but reality set in. I met a girl at the doctor's office the other day. Her and I have scarily similar conditions and views so we became friends fairly quick. He saw me out with her late friday night and well it set off fireworks. He had to know who she was, how I met her, what she is like and why I was out. Quite mistakenly I told him most everything. Then came the dreaded statement "Introduce me to her. I can save you both if you listen and have faith in what I got to say."

Then it clicked, he has a messiah complex! How disturbing... he really believes he can fix people and save them from their problems. How can any mere human think that they can achieve such a thing, with just words, asking for faith, pressuring, other actions? It has got to be the height of all delusions.

What about you guys and gals? Experiences with anyone who has had it?

What is your opinion on it?
