Acts 28:25--And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost BY ESAIAS(Isaiah) the prophet unto our fathers, (Holy Ghost was in Isaiah--Old Testament, some say we don't receive the Holy Ghost until baptism)

Baptism is the renewing of the Holy Ghost---
Titus 3:5-6--Not by works of rightousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the WASHING OF REGENERATION, AND RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST

We receive the GIFT of the Holy Ghost with baptism--that's eternal life by the KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH--that God has always been inside of us
John 14:20--At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, AND I IN YOU

He is 'with' us at salvation, but only 'in' us by invitation.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

We receive the gift of the spirit of truth. That He walked among His own and His own knew Him not. God is the head, brain and life of His body of believers and His name is Jesus Christ. It was in this way that mankind was created in the image of God. We will not have eternal life without our head(Jesus)
