STRIVE TO ENTER THE KINGDOM - May 23rd, 2012, 12:44 PM

My Question is:

Why won't many be able to Enter the Kingdom ?

Lu 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate:

for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Ro 15:30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake,
and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together
with me in your prayers to God for me;

2Ti 2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned,
except he strive lawfully.

Colossians 1:12-13 KJV Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

That's easy: First off, Paul is writing to the already born again who have been properly instructed as to why Jesus went to the cross. Our non-understanding is because, since the church from Constantine, folk have had salvation from hell to be the main reason Jesus died on the cross, shoved down their throats and the corrupt church being the authority on all things Christ. As a consequence we have no comprehension of the kingdom to be much all that Jesus taught while on Earth. Again, you ask why? Because the church set herself to be the kingdom. Ergo, striving over. Just join.___or die.

Re-read the gospels to see this being the truth.

CrosRef.

Excellent answer.

In other words, people have been deceived and missed the truth of Repentance.

In this, repentance needs to be re-visited by the nominal Christian, which most are who haven't awakened to the kingdom message.
One might begin by seeking to understand the Lords Prayer.

Hi , and for one , Luke 13:24 and and 2 Tim 2:5 , STRIVE are 2 different things .

We are already " in Christ " and in thE Kingdom of His Dear Son , by FAITH !!

Col 1:13 !!!!

We do not have to STRIVE , TO ENTER ANY KINGDOM !!

Why? Because man is wicked.

As it is written;

"It's impossible for man to be saved, but everything is possible for god."

"Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect."

"The wicked will remain wicked they will have no understanding but the wise will have it."

"Wisdom makes friends of God and prophets."

"The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life."

"My words are life to those who find them to mans whole being they are health."

"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it. For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

"The friendship of the Lord is with those who revere Him and He makes His covenant known to them."

"Call on me and I will answer you I will show you great things beyond the reach of your knowledge."Says the Lord

The one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. I am the good shepherd.

I am the gate ,anyone who enters by me will be saved. The Lord and I are ONE.

The kingdom of God is NOT about being saved. One cannot even see it if he isn't born again. C'mon, read John 3:3&5 again, for the first time.

it depends on what kind of striving you are thinking of. striving in the flesh is the sin that got St Paul stuck in the agony of romans 7. it is the root of the legalism that made the Galatian church so apostate that Paul called them fools.

if it is contrary to the sabbath rest of the believer (which is abiding in christ, whose yoke is easy and who burden is light) then it is will of the flesh, will make your life misery and is useless - worse than useless. it can lead you to blaspheme the spirit.

striving cannot and does not mean brute force effort against one's own inclinations - for that only repentance the gift of grace is the remedy.

to strive means mostly to seek or to persevere in prayer

Is all you posted the issue? Flesh? Sin? Legalism? Paul, you mean Saul, strove for it and got struck? Saul was not a Christian. I don't understand when the issue is striving to enter the kingdom of God, the kingdom of God which Jesus preached one must be born again to even see much less, enter. What does that mean since it is something a Christian must do__ if he is one.
