Yes or No?
Unlike Farrkhan, Trump has never referred to any other race as "the devil" and expressed his desire for their elimination. So, no, the two aren't in anyway comparable.

Racism is also a 2 way street. Are you telling me that no one voted for him for strictly racist reasons?
See? I can play that game too
"Racism is also a 2 way street." - To my knowledge there has never been a "birther" movement directed at a "white" presidential candidate.
Which brings up another concern, if racism wasn't a pervasive issue throughtout American history, why did it take until 2008 before a "non white" presidential candidate was even nominated by one of the 2 major political parties?

The exact same things happened the last time we had a President with a foreign born parent. The accusation was regularly made that Chester A Arthur, the son of an Irish immigrant, had actually been born in Canada and not the US and never went away throughout his Presidency.
Similarly, go back and do news searches and you'll quickly find that there were more stories about people saying McCain was ineligible to be President because of being born outside the US before there were ones regarding Obama's birth.

Racism what a useful tool.
Its racist to require Constitutional eligibility,
Its racist to require proper I.D. for voting,
Its racist to object to a Socialists policies,
Its racist to ....

William Arthur's frequent moves would later form the basis for accusations that Chester Arthur was not a native-born citizen of the United States. After Arthur was nominated for Vice President in 1880, his political opponents suggested that he might be constitutionally ineligible to hold that office.
A New York attorney, Arthur P. Hinman, apparently hired by his opponents, explored rumors of Arthur's foreign birth. Hinman initially alleged that Arthur was born in Ireland and did not come to the United States until he was fourteen years old, which would make him ineligible for the Vice Presidency under the United States Constitution's natural-born citizen clause. When that story did not take root, Hinman spread a new rumor that Arthur was born in Canada, but this claim also failed to gain credence.
The accusations against Arthur were politically motivated, but not as widely accepted among conservatives, as is the case with BaracK Obama.
McCain's father was with the US military and stationed in Panama, so there was never the basis for a serious challenge to his citizenship.
I also notice you quietly failed to acknowledge that you were incorrect in saying these sorts of allegations had never been made against a previous US President...

I stand corrected on Chester Arthur.
There is some speculation that the American citizenship provision was placed in the Constitution for no other reason than to prevent Alexander Hamilton from running for president.
Hamilton, being born in the Virgin Islands, had any presidential ambitions terminated when the born in US (or its colonies) rule was included in the Constitution.

Farrkhan has said some hateful and racist things and Trump's birther talk is a dog whistle to many racists and Trump knows it. Therein lies a partial equivalency in their stupidity and racism.

I agree. Trump is a fool but he isn't stupid. And he has shown over and over that he's not afraid of looking foolish to get what he wants. He wants the republicans in power because they are the party of the rich. They always have been and they still are. The whole republican "morality" smokescreen is just a way for them to curry votes among the moralists. And racists always think they're racism is moral.
