Lol.
Matthew 22:14.
Romans 8:30.
Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deuteronomy 10:13 (KJV) To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
Thats why Jesus told the first Preachers to wait on the coming of the Spirit, for He would be needed to make their Preaching a success to God's Elect !
Rom 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

That's a really loving, compassionate, God you got there.
I'm pointing out the different instances or cases of the word "called". This has nothing to do with you needing to reject scripture for whatever reason. I am not a Calvinist.
Further, my God is loving and compassionate.

Your wrong about the Holy Spirit not being mentioned in the Old Testament.
Isa 63:10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
The Holy Spirit's Job in the economy of Salvation was to Bring the Elect World into an experiential Knowledge and Fellowship with their salvation through Christ !
