In The Book of Acts, the one of the words translated as sorcery means "trifle" (also rendered as "busybodies"). I think that this is telling.

Sorcery is perhaps, at best, a vain attempt at manipulation. The real trick is not from the sorcerer, but from the powers he/she attempts to invoke.

I think the Bible is absolutely divine and we should model our lives, country and economy on its principles. That would begin by finding a prophet who would tell us who God wants appointed as king.

Prophecy was in part, but that which is perfect has come, so...

We can still find a king using Biblical principles, though.

You see dear lighthouse people seem to want to parse out only those bits of the Bible that appeal to them. I'm ready to commit to all of it even if the king says kill Eeset. When Nathan condemned David for his decisions and actions involving Bathsheba God did not slay David. David repented. David accepted the love child's death a few days after its birth as his punishment. Now that's the kind of divine justice that I don't need to think critically about. I just have to accept it as God's will.

If the king wants you dead for no justifiable reason why would you want to accept that?

And don't assume I don't know the Bible.

The only unbelievable thing here is that you think we should live according to the principles of the Israel monarchy. Do you think we should follow the Mosaic law, too?

Jesus does not tell his followers to understand God because He knew that to be impossible. He tells them to believe in Him and He who sent Him.

What of it?

My point is that you do not need to judge me nor I you. The only righteous judge is God. If I am granted eternal life or extinguished in a lake of fire it will not be by your authority.

It may not be by my authority, but Jesus did command His followers to judge righteous judgment; John 7:24. Also, Paul told us that we would judge angels and the world; 1 Corinthians 6:1-3.
