How is knowing that He saved us all from the curse that the world was held to, due to the law, by dying on the cross, "our works"?
He is the only One who hung a tree, friend. When we put our trust in Him, for it, we are born again. He does desire we do so...even IF you call it 'works of the flesh'. You see, things that come from the heart of man, are NOT FROM THE FLESH, AND THAT IS WHY YOU ARE DECEIVED.
You teach a work salvation, an accursed Gospel !
Rom 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Whereas, it is true that Christ died for the sins of ALL mankind; one cannot reap the benefits of that sacrifice unless one places their complete faith in Christ as Lord and Savior. Faith is the key word.
God's Grace by offering us all, His forgiveness, mercy, and eternal life, is contingent upon placing our faith in Christ's finished work on the cross and subsequent resurrection. After one has placed their faith and the Holy Spirit has "cleased our sin, indwelt, sealed and placed us into the "Body of Christ" we are then considered a child of God and cannot lose our position in Christ!!
Now, give me your explanation of how one becomes, "Born-again?"

Agreed, that is when one is born again.
It is not when the world was saved from the curse of the law, however.
That was HIS work alone on the cross..and it is the beginning of every man's salvation, which is why salvation is conditional, until we believe.

Amen..now, just learn where your salvation began.

When they believe the gospel.
I have asked you several times when you were saved from the curse of the law, but all I get is no answer.
You see GM, you did not save yourself from that, by believing anything.
You teach a false gospel B57! Of that, I have no doubt....
I have no doubt you do !

These verses are directed at Christians:
"See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. IF it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. and this is what he promised us even eternal life. I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray" (1 John 2:24-26)
"By this gospel you are saved, IF you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain" (1 Cor. 15:2).
"I tell you the truth IF anyone keeps my word, he will never see death" (John 8:51).

There is only one word "if" in the English. But there are THREE constructions in the Greek that translate into our word "if."
Class 1 conditional: ei with the indicative affirms the present reality of the condition.
Class 2 conditional:ei with the indicative and av with the indicative assumes the contrary would be the case.
Class 3 conditional:eav with the subjunctive assumes the future reality of the condition.
Now look at the verses:
1 John 2:24-26 is class 3 conditional which assumes the future reality. John was saying that the truth WILL remain in them. He used the class 3 conditional also in 3:2 saying, "IF He shall appear we shall be like him." It assumes the future reality that Christ will appear.
John 8:51 is also class 3 conditional which assumes the future reality that His disciples will keep His word. Again, this is the class John used to speak of Christ's coming. He said, "IF (class 3) He shall appear...." John assumes the future reality of Christ's coming.
1 Corinthians 15:2 is class 1 which affirms the present reality that Christians continue in the gospel.
None of the verses that "lifeisgood" offers contain the class 2 conditionalwhich assumes the contrary would be the case. There is not even the slightest suggestion that a Christian may lose his salvation in the verses given.

No ifs, buts, ands about it. WHEN he appears......
The Greek says "If He shall appear...."
Young's Literal Translation:
beloved, now, children of God are we, and it was not yet manifested what we shall be, and we have known that IF he may be manifested, like him we shall be, because we shall see him as he is; http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...-6&version=YLT
It is the third class conditional which assumes the future reality of the condition. It assumes that Christ will appear. This is why the translators said "when He shall appear."
1 John 2:24-26 is third class conditional. It assumes that believers will remain in the Father and the Son.
