Adressing 1) The accusation that Christ was a liberal 2) That Corporatism is incompatible with Christianity.

The question, therefore, is whether Corporate Fascism is opposed to Christianity.

The first question that follows is whether Jesus was a liberal. Liberals base their presumption that Christ was a liberal based on the fact that he preached concern for the poor and the renunciation of wealth.

Bear in mind, however, that he never preached that the government should enforce such policies, and it was always on a voluntary level. In fact, socialism and left wing economic policy seemingly go against Christianity, especially against Catholicism, insofar as it (as far as I can see) amounts to an infringement against subsidiarity..

That said left wing politics is an infringement against personal rights. I paraphrase Hitler when he says "The Jew's idea of socialism is taking from others." and "The Jew, while claiming to be charitible, never becomes personally impoverished." Left wing economics involves taking from those who have more and forking it over to those who don't. In my book, that amounts to theft. ******

Socialism means taking from others to support those without jobs. That is unjustifiable in a state in which citizen property rights exist, and is, frankly, not economically prudent.

Corporatism doesn't go against subsidiarity. Simply put, the aims of Corporatism are unreachable by individual civilian groups. The aims of Corporatism is a planned right wing economy.

Unlike Socialism and Communism, which takes from those who have to give to those who don't, Corporatism gives jobs to those who don't have jobs, and lo and behold, everyone is happy.

Secondly, a major complaint of lefties is against big business, and they claim the importance of small business. I shall bull.

Corporations are necessary in a world of mass production.

Mass production makes things better for everyone.

A word of small business and competition is just plain inefficient.

*****Replace Jew with Socialist. I am not condemning all Jews as being leftist. That's the term Hitler used, not the term I would have preferred to have used.

I DON'T SEE 'EM MENTIONED IN YOUR ARTICLE. I think they were some kind of dirty people from the 1960s or something. What have they got to do with what you are talking about?

I tend to associate hippidom with leftism.

As a 53 year old who once, I guess, proudly numbered myself as a "hippie", now associate hippidom with ignorance and naivity. (of course right wing conservatism often possesses the same shortcomings with a lot of meanspiritedness sprinkled in)

Jesus had long hair, walked around in sandals, preached love and forgiveness, told people not to worry about possessions but to give to the poor and live free like the flowers and birds, shared things communally with his followers, and was behind the establishment of an institution -- the church -- that required mandatory monetary contribution from its members in order to support the whole.

IMAGINE*:

Jesus hadn't come yet. You are living in your big house with your family, surviving on a two-party income, playing the stock market occasionally, two cars in the garage and a boat for the weekends.

A long-haired guy in Birkenstocks walks by outside and says, "Follow me. If you want to be free, you must hate your family and come with me. I will show you the true kingdom."

Would you do it?

Long hair is unproven.

Everyone walked around in sandals.

He didn't preach -that sort- of love.

He didn't tell people to live "free" as you think of it.

Out like a lamb.... In like a Lion.

Oooo... I can't wait, it's gonna be good.

By the way, I don't know too many lambs that would fashion their own whip made of cords and start whacking people.

Not too many hippies do that I would bet.

I just can't see a hippy sayin'.....

"Like dude.... It would be better for that dude if like a millstone were hung around the dude's neck, and he were thrown into the ocean man!"

How did he and his disciples live? How did he teach them to live?

And didn't his church start out demanding money from followers? Didn't "God" throw in a dramatic little warning to the faithful to show what would happen to them if they tried to hold back and didn't give their share to the church?

I ben there.
Only the long-hair was a student at the nearby college and he just wanted a jump start for his car.
I got Him hooked up even though he didn't really need a jump but rather quite a few minutes to charge his battery cause his alternetor was shot, and I had pressing business matters to tend to. It was nice though. hanging with the long hair sandal in the winter guy, blowing smoke about whatever.

Whacking people with a whip is pretty tame, especially when you're doing it for spiritual reasons. Stickin' it to the Man. I bet you can find lots of hippies who would do the same. Hippies have a flair for the dramatic, if they can make a spiritual or political point.

Your above statement is false, competition is necessary for efficiency. It is what drives a business to be more efficient.

Small business is necessary for innovation. Rather than doing things the same as they have always been, small businesses are nimble and willing to try new things. Some new ideas actually aren't very good, and so the small business will perish. Some new ideas are very good, and the small business will later become a big business.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.
