It's difficult to ignore the news stories when they absolutely FLOOD the discussion board! Maybe you could create a new sub-forum; "News & Current Events", or something along those lines? TOL was great before, now we have to scan through a bunch of meaningless news stories to find a worthwhile topic to post in.

So I don't have a problem with the news feed itself, I think it's a good idea, but I don't think it should flood (or even post) in any of the main sub-forums.

One vote for a "News & Current Events" sub-forum.
