Instant Messaging for Alan Keyes - January 7th, 2008, 01:39 PM

Out of the blue, a young man approached me via instant messenger about why I was supporting Alan Keyes for President. It's a shame, but he is so blinded to the truth. I don't think I made a dent, but we'll see.

Also, his screen name changed halfway through the chat because I added him as a friend during the chat.

Enjoy!

[13:53] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: hey

[13:59] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: oh ok
[14:04] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: how old are you
[14:08] truthman: I am 33
[14:08] truthman: and you?
[14:09] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: 21
[14:09] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: black or white?
[14:11] truthman: does it matter?
[14:11] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: no just woundering
[14:12] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: well im a suporter of huckabee
[14:12] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: why you like alan
[14:13] truthman: because Alan is the only candidate who will end abortion on day 1 of the Presidency
[14:13] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: he cannot do it
[14:13] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: only the suprem court can do it
[14:14] truthman: yes he can
[14:14] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: and plus hes forgeting a thing call congress
[14:14] truthman: he doesn't need the courts or the congress to do it
[14:14] truthman: one moment, another phone call
[14:15] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: k
[14:18] truthman: ok, I'm back
[14:18] truthman: as I stated, Keyes can immediately outlaw abortion because it was illegally ruled on in the first place
[14:19] truthman: the supreme court violated the 14th amendment
[14:19] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: ok! well i suported keys in 2000
[14:19] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: but not now
[14:20] truthman: so what do you think about what I just said?
[14:20] truthman: and then we'll talk about Huckster
[14:20] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: well that would be awsome
[14:20] truthman: then vote for him
[14:21] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: well i like huckabee
[14:21] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: i meet the man and talk to him and he wants what i want
[14:21] truthman: why did you stop liking keyes?
[14:21] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: cause after 2000 its like his political life died
[14:22] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: i voted for bush twice
[14:22] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: my dad went to school with huckabee
[14:22] truthman: if you're 21, then how have you had a chance to really vote for anyone?
[14:22] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: and there bouth pastors
[14:23] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: oh i mean to said once
[14:23] truthman: no, you said suported keyes in 2000, you were 14
[14:24] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: yeah like talked to my dad
[14:24] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: on the inter net talk about him
[14:24] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: got his name out
[14:24] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: got people to vote for him
[14:24] truthman: ok
[14:24] truthman: here's the deal
[14:25] truthman: you should not remove your support for a candidate, simply because another is more 'likeable' or because they are a Pastor
[14:25] truthman: Pastors can be flawed too
[14:25] truthman: and Huckabee is flawed
[14:25] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: if huckabee is flaw, so if keys
[14:26] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: Huckabee has talked about the issues and alan ented at the last minute
[14:26] truthman: true, all men are flawed, but huckabee has openly lied to the public, keyes has been truthful throughout
[14:27] truthman: Keyes was talking about issues when Huckabee was still in diapers
[14:27] truthman: do you want evidence of Huckabee's lies?
[14:28] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: well when keys was trying to run for office huckabee was holding an office
[14:28] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: gettin ready for the presidency
[14:28] truthman: tenure doesn't matter, truth does
[14:29] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: you know keys has lied before
[14:29] runner_2005_21@hotmail.com: he is not perfect
[14:29] truthman: and yes, Keyes was an Ambassador many years ago, worked for Reagan, and got commendations
[14:29] truthman: I know Keyes has lied, so have I, we all have
[14:30] truthman: that's not the point, the point is, Keyes has not changed his position on critical issues, he stands fast for truth no matter what votes it costs him
[14:30] truthman: so, I'll rephrase my question, Do you want evidence of Huckabee's lies on current, life or death issues?
[14:31] truthman: or do you just want to support him because he's a good ol' Southern Baptist boy?
[14:32] Meebo Message: Jay is online
[14:32] Jay: if huckabee lied than why are people supporting him
[14:32] Jay: and if keys is telling the truth why is he not on top of the polls and why we dont hear him on the issues
[14:33] Jay: go head give me the lies
[14:35] truthman: because people don't research the issues and the majority usually chooses evil. Remember Jesus talking about the wide road to destruction?
[14:35] truthman: ok, here's you link to Huckabee's Lies, http://truthbeltbuckled.blogspot.com/2007/12/lies-of-mike-huckabee.html
[14:36] truthman: it's a short read
[14:36] Jay: yeah
[14:38] Jay: how do you know thats truth!
[14:38] Jay: you must hate mitt as well
[14:38] Jay: and mcain
[14:38] truthman: did you read the article? it has videos of Huckabee himself, there's no need to investigate further
[14:38] truthman: phone call coming in
[14:39] Jay: oh ok
[14:39] Jay: well people takes things out of content!
[14:40] Jay: huckabee is better canidate than keys
[14:40] Jay: even if he doesnt get the nomiation
[14:40] Jay: he will be chosen for vp
[14:41] Jay: so tell me what experience has keys have
[14:42] truthman: I would love to do that, but before I do, you haven't given me one good thing about Huck. All you've said is we agree on issues and he's a Pastor. Those aren't quallifications.
[14:43] Jay: he wants to fight for the middle class,
[14:43] Jay: chose good judges
[14:44] truthman: is fighting for the middle class more important than fighting for the unborn class?
[14:46] Jay: no but by chosing judges like bush good things will happen
[14:46] truthman: Bush didn't choose good judges
[14:46] Jay: yes he did
[14:46] Jay: your just fool of keys
[14:47] Jay: that you can see what anything good that bush has done
[14:47] Jay: cause he beat your guy
[14:47] Jay: and now your dont like huckabee or anybody else cause there beatinghim
[14:47] truthman: if you look back at the records from the last 34 years, you will find that it was republican judges nominated by republican presidents who didn't help put an end to abortion
[14:48] truthman: phone call again
[14:49] Jay: its like ur brain wash by him
[14:49] Jay: its like in 2012 you still be suporting for him even if he is not running
[14:52] truthman: now that's a ridiculous statement. I only worship one, and that would be Jesus Christ
[14:53] Jay: same here mani love God and thats why im voting for huckabee
[14:53] truthman: wow
[14:56] truthman: so, it boils down to, you're voting for Huck because your dad is
[14:56] Jay: no is cause i feel that the best choice
[14:57] Jay: and i dont have a conviction about that
[14:57] truthman: in this life, we cannot rely on feelings
[14:57] truthman: feelings are subjective and can't be trusted. God' Word tells us that the heart is wicked
[14:57] Jay: God has given me peace just like he is given you peace to suport for keys
[14:58] truthman: God hasn't given me any peace about Keyes. God gave me a brain and I'm using it.
[15:00] Jay: so am i
[15:00] Jay: just be glad im not voting for clinton
[15:01] truthman: I'd rather have Clinton than Obama
[15:01] truthman: if given the choice
[15:01] Jay: k
[15:03] truthman: thanks for the chat today, feel free to write again, or, if I have time later, I might chat
[15:03] Jay: oh ok
[15:03] Jay: c ya

How did this young man find you on IM?

Probably from some message board. I openly display my IM usernames everywhere I go.

What's sad is this kid represents many of the voters out there today. They vote for the candidate because of superficial reasons. The candidate may be nice, or good looking, or a good speaker, but that doesn't mean anything!

I'm pretty sure it was just typos, and I know you can't fix those once you send them on IM, but that was still hard to read.

Alan Keyes will not end abortion day one. That's just the plain truth of the matter. It would be nice, but just not going to happen.

I hate to break it to the peeps, but your chances of being killed or wounded in a terrorist incident are so close to zero that they might as well be zero. Worry far more about slipping in the tub.

I appreciate your comment, and I know what you mean. But, his intent is there.

The point of this thread was to demonstrate the brainless voters that will go to the polls in November. I should have titled it differently.

How is Keyes going to end abortion 'on day 1' of his Presidency?

A better question would be who's deluded enough to think Keyes will ever get elected.

No one here.

I know he's not going to get elected. I've never believed he would be.

You're deluded.

Adambassador said "because Alan is the only candidate who will end abortion on day 1 of the Presidency"

Then when a poster said that is completely false and really not viable, you concede......

Now it isn't that he will actually do it, but just that his intent is there. Isn't that special?

So, Adambassador, the million dollar question is: assuming he wins; how is Alan Keyes going to end abortion on the 1st day of his presidency?

I'll even make it easier for you. Let's make the hypothetical that Keyes wins and is even reelected. How is Alan Keyes going to outlaw abortion in a two-term presidency?

You'll quickly see how bankrupt your conjecture is. Who are you calling "brainless voters"? Ever call the kettle black?

Well, Huck fan contacted me again for a short, yet lively discussion. This kid is clueless! He is voting for his candidate solely on cosmetic reasons.
Quote:
[13:09] Jay: hello mr keys
[13:09] truthman: hello!
[13:10] Jay: well it was good seen your guy at the gop debate the other day
[13:10] truthman: which one? I don't have television service
[13:10] Jay: fox news
[13:11] Jay: what im trying to say is he was not in it
[13:12] truthman: yeah, he hasn't been allowed in one since the Iowa debate
[13:13] truthman: they are biased
[13:13] truthman: and won't allow him in
[13:15] Jay: i would not let him in
[13:15] Jay: he is waistin his money
[13:16] truthman: now you're just being rude
[13:16] truthman: he hasn't hardly spent any money
[13:18] Jay: i kow he needs to give it back to y'all
[13:19] truthman: no one is expecting their money back, that's a ridiculous claim
[13:27] Meebo Message: Jay is offline
[13:30] Meebo Message: Jay is online
[13:47] truthman: You have yet to debunk any one of Alan's claims. Also, you have yet to bring up any reasons, other than cosmetic ones, why you're voting for Huckabee.
[13:48] Jay: see i know that he might not win the nomination
[13:48] Jay: but he is going to try
[13:53] truthman: trying, running and winning have NOTHING to do with it. Having a good moral foundation has everything to do with it.
[13:53] Jay: he does have a good moral

I would rather support a candidate that has a shot at getting the presidency. It's sad that it works that way, but it does.

Jesus didn't have a shot at getting the throne during his life here, would you stand with John to the bitter end?
