An astonishing lack of discernment.
Homosexuality evokes disgust and perhaps nausea even by those with legitimate religious objections. Sex and food are often associated with disgust.

Ah so it is a FEELING.. Well then you know your FEELINGS can change I used to like porno but now my FEELINGS towards it is disgust. See how feeling change. I used to think that picking up a girl at the bar was a cool thing, that using them was what made me a man. Now my FEELINGS have changed and I don't do that anymore I have more respect for their FEELINGS and emotions.
See how FEELINGS CHANGE so has your uncle's FEELINGS changed or what?
You don't seem to understand the forces at work in his mind.

Just Tom, I would recommend that you begin speaking with a therapist very honestly and frequently, and if you already do so, you should consider moving to another (unless you have just started). And that is not an insult.

The error here is that the effeminate man may marry the woman wearing combat boots. In the absence of homosexual desire and/or practice, these are merely personality characteristics and may not be inherently sexual in nature.
There are two firm evidences that a person is a homosexual:
1. The person has a sexual desire for another of the same gender, and/or
2. The person engages in physical sexual practice with the same gender.
-
The next two traits 'do not' confirm homosexuality:
1. A man may be five foot tall with a petite build, talking with a lisp and skipping about in dainty fashion. But this doesn't necessarily make him a homosexual.
2. A woman may be six feet tall and husky, displaying a dominant and assertive will. But this doesn't necessarily make her a homosexual.
The fact is that these two individuals (the dainty man and the husky woman) may be attracted to each other, get married and have children. Their desires and actions may be completely heterosexual.

What do you think are some of the indications of homosexuality? Is there a homosexuality test?
You may first have to develop a heterosexual test, and work off of that as a base.
Quote:
And if you believe homosexuality to be an abomination and suspected somebody you knew personally to be gay, would you confront them and if they are, rebuke them?
No, I don't consider that to be my responsibility. If the person transgressed my relational boundaries via a sexual advance, I'd inform them of my boundaries and cease contact with them if it continued.
You don't confront someone you think is gay and in the closet. Bad idea. You just make sure that they know you are their friend and that you don't approve of homosexuals. You make sure that they know that they don't have to be homosexual. You do this by indirect conversations.
ur disgusting. u cant prove any of ur false accusations, thats just slander and gross stereotyping. here is a hint, love is not conditional, u dont have to be a certain way to love ur parents, urself, or any of the abominations ur obsessed over like pornography. to be such a self professed righteous man ur disgustingly obsessed with depravity. oh and u might wanna take note that none of us care what u have to say, i just like to occasionally drop in and remind u ur a gross human.
It isn't. He never said it was only His right to judge. In fact, He commanded us to judge. He only ever said that vengeance was His.
id rather be judged and face eternal damnation than not be who i am. im not like other people doing something for attention or pity. i do what i do because i want to and no one can convince me something is wrong just cause they say so. for what u have to say to work, id have to have sitting in the back of mind what i do is wrong. and guess what? i dont! it takes quite alot of negative ego to think that ur good enough to judge or tell someone else what to do.

Hey, I'm coming into this late but I noted "he needs to repent" and "lose his salvation" up there in the first sentence. I'm confused. Is your uncle a Christian? Also, "he is living a daily battle with himself". Is he celibate? In other words, has he at least taken the first step in refraining from engaging in the act itself?
I'm just curious as to where exactly on the road to recovery your uncle is. Can you clarify a bit? I only ask because knowing roughly where your uncle is in all this kinda makes or breaks the point you're trying to make concerning how accepting you are of him.

You are making a false assumption of salvation. The short version is believe in Jesus. But believe what? Know that we fail. Understand and know the gospel and believe it.
1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
Paul goes on to say that those that used to do those things were washed clean when they believed in Jesus, and no longer do that action. If they still did it, they obviously hadn't believed him in the first place. God knows their heart. Try reading the Bible for your answer.
