Evangelist on BEL re Rick Warren - December 25th, 2008, 11:07 PM

Evangelist on BEL re Rick Warren

This is the show from Tuesday December 23rd, 2008.

BEST QUOTE OF THE SHOW:
Quote:
Rick Warren is a poster child for the word "compromise."
SUMMARY:

* The Internet's Leading Evangelist: Bill Keller launched LivePrayer.com in the 1990s in the same year that Bob Enyart launched KGOV.com. Seven hundred retired pastors respond personally to the tens of thousands of daily prayer requests sent to LivePrayer.com and more than two million people subscribe to Pastor Keller's daily devotional! Bob and Pastor Keller discuss the problem of compromised Christian leaders like Rick Warren and his Purpose Driven Life.

* The Rick Warren/Obama Connection: Bill and Bob discuss how Rick Warren must see his purpose as giving Barack Obama a false sense of security, as the President-Elect heads to hell with Warren's blessings.

* Years Ago Christian Leaders:
- supported laws that legitimized sex only within marriage
- then they agreed with the decriminalization of pornography (as free speech)
- then they agreed with the decriminalization of fornication (shacking up, etc.)
- then they agreed with the decriminalization of adultery (with another man's wife)
- then they agreed with the decriminalization of homosexuality
- then they agreed with homosexual adoption of children
- then George Bush and the false conservatives advocated civil unions
- then John McCain (with Barack Obama) voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment
- and now as regards legislation Christian leaders only oppose homosexual marriage. That's it.
Just a few short years ago in Lawrence v. Texas, many Christian groups and Focus on the Family lobbied against legalized homosexuality yet these groups now oppose the re-criminalization of homosexuality and have therefore sided with Hillary, Hollywood, humanists and the homosexuals themselves against Jesus, Moses, Paul and 3,500 years of Judaeo-Christian legal principle. W e at Bob Enyart Live expect that soon, Christian leaders continuing this moral relativism will compromise also on "gay marriage" also and will hold out only with opposition to homosexual dental care!
(For documentation of this moral slide among Christian leaders see BEL's groundbreaking DVD Focus on the Strategy!)

Post-show Notes: Have you seen Bob's Entropy and evolution debate? Bob debated a trained evolutionist about an article from the American Journal of Physics, and the author of that article, Daniel F. Styer, has joined the debate! If you like science, and have interest in the creation/evolution debate, check out this debate!

* BEL Indiana Seminars: Bob Enyart is coming to Indiana, Goshen in the evening of Jan. 29th and Indianapolis on Saturday January 31st, to present a brand new BEL Seminar titled Hermeneutics: Tools for Studying the Bible. Learn how to use tools of interpretation as you study the Bible. And as importantly, Bob will discuss the principles involved for prioritizing these hermeneutics and how to decide which tool to use in which instance. You'll love it! Click for more info and to register please call 1-800-8Enyart!

Today's Resource: For over thirty-five years Bob Enyart has studied God's Word praying for the wisdom to share the truth of Scripture with a lost and dying world. Now you can benefit from this very exciting Bible study through The Tree CD album (also available in immediate download) which will take you back to the Garden of Eden to examine the legacy and impact of the famous Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. And find out from the Bible where that astounding tree is today!

Who is more dangerous abominations or those willing to damn the abominations here on Earth...

Isn't our God, a God of tolerance and benevolence...who are we as worshippers, practicers, faithful adherents to God's law, to be condemners...are we not to be seekers of sins and baptizers in the ways of God. Jesus, despite if you seem him as Messiah or prophet, went to the worst or the worst, and are we not to do the same without damnation, but with love.

Although God forgives sin, He doesn't wink at it. Yes, He forgave the woman at the well but He also told her, "Go and sin no more."

The dispensation of the grace of God:

"God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them."

God isn't angry at the world today over their sin. He will
be
angry at them if they die or enter the tribulation having rejected the gospel of Christ.

Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again for your justification. Trust him and rest in what he has already done!

So a major part of the show was to bring one evangelist on to talk smack about another evangelist?

Regardless of your opinions of either, isn't that otherwise simply referred to as gossip?

Why not just have Warren on and address him directly and ask him to defend himself?

The point was not to talk smack about another, the point was to show the downfall of today’s Christians leaders.

I am sure they would love to have Warren on the show.

Fidei, who would you criticize more... - December 29th, 2008, 01:52 PM

Fidei, I'm curious: who would you criticize more:
a) those who slaughter Jews, or
b) those who rebuke those murderers;

a) those who enslave Blacks, or
b) those who rebuke slaveholders;

a) those who butcher unborn children, or
b) those who rebuke the butchcers?

Also, when you criticize others for criticizing others, how do you evaluate your behavior?

Can you reply to these two questions?

Thanks.

I hate to speak for him, but I think his point would be that its not us to criticise as our first course of action.

Our lives should not be judgement calls of who is desevring of most bile and critic should they? Now its difficult to point this out without citisising anyone but thats the joy of life.

and it interesting that in responding to your critic of Rick Warren you justify it by suggesting its Ok to criticise with murders, slaveowners and abortionsits. Now im not a big fan or Rick but I do think that a little unfair.

That's a show I'd love to have a listen to. Wonder if they could get Osteen on?
