The Berry and Bob are Back

* Marion Berry Wants the Mayor's Job: talk-radio's leading researchers, the BEL investigative team, has determined that Marion Barry wants the Washington D.C. mayor's job for a fifth term. Here's the story from the Associated Press: Former D.C. Mayor Barry charged with stalking. "Police say former Washington Mayor Marion Barry has been arrested and charged with stalking a woman."
Bob Enyart: The Berry is clearly unhappy as a mere city council member and is positioning himself for a fifth run at the D.C. mayor's office!
According to the AP: The United States Park Police said Marion Berry was arrested Saturday in Washington after a woman flagged down an officer and complained that Marion Berry was stalking her. The Berry was charged with misdemeanor stalking and released. Marion Berry served four terms as mayor. In his third, he was videotaped in 1990 in a hotel room smoking crack cocaine in an FBI sting.

Errata: Bob wrongly stated that Berry was with a prostitute. That wasn't the 1990 episode. Rather, an audio recording between him and a woman whom he paid with tax dollars to have sex with him reveals that during the 2008 Democratic National Convention Berry kicked her out of his Denver hotel room for refusing to perform a sex act on him. The 1990 hotel room incident was with his close personal friend, Rasheeda Moore, about whom he famously cursed when he realized she set him up for the FBI.

Berry served six months in prison and in 1994 regained the mayor's office. That year for Thanksgiving at the home of Colorado RTL board member Mark Sutherland, Bob Enyart brought a Marion Berry pie in honor of the politician who keeps on giving.

Colorado Company Offers Banana Coffins: Really. Ecoffins USA sells caskets made of banana sheaves claiming they biodegrade within two years. Bob remembers the archaeologists excavating a New York City landfill and finding evening dinners almost perfectly preserved in 1940s newspapers, with pork chops, salad, and corn on the cob seemingly as fresh as last-night's leftovers. An archaeologist laughed about "biodegradable plastic bags," which microbes would supposedly eat because they've fused the material with cornstarch molecules. "If the microorganisms don't want to eat the corn, what makes anybody think they're going to eat cornstarch molecules in plastic bags?" he asked. Regarding the basket-like coffins, marketing director Joanna Passarelli said, "We've had funeral directors say, 'I guess you can go to hell in a handbasket now.'"

See Bob's Comment at Politico: The Washington Post doesn't like being the middleman without getting their fair share. So money buys gov't influence, and if it's for the Democrats, the Post will provide cover, or perhaps even be an enabler. But, for free? The Post came out of the closet with their upfront cash for influence scheme. Funny part: Publisher Weymouth says the flier wasn't approved by her or any editor! Ha! The first gathering was in HER OWN HOME! If it wasn't approved by her or any editor, who wrote it, some first year typesetter (do they still even have typesetters)? Who wrote it, a copy editor? Oh no, that can't be, because she said that none of their editors approved the flyer. Look for the soon firing of a Post receptionist... Developing...
