OK, Four O'Clock here who touted the Ol' Miss Rebs in September before they imploded, but...understand, each year I simply want a team that's not among the 'elite' to get a chance at the BCS title game. To heck with Texas, USC, Florida, Alabama, etc...
How about the new addition into the fray...TCU? They've got their Big game...Friday? against ranked Utah. How about a, say, 34-14 drubbing of the Utes and then a final two blowouts to end their season?
I know, right now, it's starting to look like Texas vs. the Florida/Bama winner for the title but maybe one of those three might lay an egg in the next two weeks.

Question: Do you think an undefeated TCU gets into the national championship game over a one-loss Florida, Bama, or Texas if 2 of the those 3 teams take a loss before their respective conference title games...or if Bama or Florida lose before the SEC title game and the one-loss team beats the undefeated team in the SEC title game?

I would usually say no, but it seems that sentiment might win out over reason in this case...

Shouldn't, but you never know...we need a playoff system. It's unfair to Florida and Alabama (and a number of SEC schools in a given year) that we don't and that superior competition within a conference can actually cost a team a shot at the championship.

I think they would take a 1-loss Texas, Bama, or Florida team over an undefeated TCU. And in some ways I understand that, but I am totally in favor of abolishing the BCS and starting a playoff system.

Well, if we could fit your QB's instincts into a frame about five inches taller...Even so, he made a number of amazing throws that your WRs made plays for, but that was as good a defensive game as I've seen from what could be the best defense in the country. Secondary play was just frighteningly good. I don't think anyone could have beaten the Tide last night. If they play on that level from here on in I don't believe that Florida can stay with them in the SEC Championship game.

So I wouldn't beat up on them or fellow fans today.
