The Cholesterol Myth -
November 26th, 2009, 07:07 PM
I have always suspected this was a myth and years ago started checking into it.
Most everyone I know is on statins for Cholesterol and it's nothing more than a way for Drs., Pharmaceuticals, and Pharmacies to make money.
Way back when I started wondering about this I typed in those exact words into Google, "Cholesterol Myth" and found a book that had been written with that name if I'm remembering correctly by a Polish Dr.
There was more "suprising results" last year, on a study. CNN had it, and it is buried, I can't find it, but will. They keep getting suprised, just like evolutionists.

low-carb diets, which is what the 'caveman' diet is, essentially, are more along the lines of an evolutionist viewpoint than the "eat bread" biblical view.

The paleolithic diet has had many studies done and it's eating things like white bread that is making Americans fat, well that and Colas etc....
The glycemic index is important in not becoming a diabetic or fat when picking which carbs to eat.

it's not just white bread. paleolithic man was a hunter-gatherer, which means no grains at all. it seasonal fruit, leaves and tons of meat. it was the diet of humans before we became agrarian.

Paleolithic period=600,000-700,000 years ago?
And they keep saying the world is only 6,000 years old?
I'm sure the cave man didn't lay around watching TV either, think of the cardio work out you can get running down your breakfast.

Genesis 9
3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.
You shouldn't comment about things when you don't know what you are talking about.
I eat a good bit of chicken and salad and take supplements for low dairy intake...but I don't believe in diets, eat desert when I feel like it and red meat at least once a week. My LDL is 70 mg/dL and my total cholesterol is 130. I think if you eat sensible portions of lean meats and leafy greens and exercise regularly the machine will take care of itself for the most part, absent a genetic difficulty.
Rheticulous: an argument so absurd that it attacks itself.

ask rice farmers in india about cobras and farming.
additionally, i don't get the fascination with long, slow distance running. the practical application (unless you're a tarahumara indian) is next to nil. if you're getting chased by an attacker, it's not like you and the attacker are going to use the first half mile as a warmup.

We have people eating like that right now, the Eskimos and they eat lots of blubber and meat and nothing else for most of the year.
I called it that period because that's what I used to call it before becoming a believer, I now question this only because I think more than I used to in both directions and don't solely rely on one theory that has never been proven, though they've been trying very hard to prove it and much is invested in trying to prove it.
We may have been around longer than the Bible states, I don't know but I do not believe in evolution any longer after studying it more than I used to and actually questioning it for a change rather than just accepting it.
