But, you say that satan only quotes the Old Testament. Well, in Hebrews part of chapter 31 of Jeremiah is quoted, an explanation of the new testament found in the new testament but a quote from the old testament. This in Hebrews is not satan.

elementary principles are foundation, but what makes for foundation?

Why leave what is true foundationally if people haven't heard it. It is apparent that the audience of the author of the book of Hebrews needed to understand some things in perspective of what had already been taught... maybe understood but then forgotten or caught up in confusion? Or maybe just moving on that people would grow.

When one turns to the Lord satan is going to try to stop them. If they are not born again they already deserve to pay for their sins. So satan is going after them, and because they turn to the Lord God saves them from the condemnation they deserve so that they can work out their salvation.

xxxSanctified is the washing of water by the Word. Puting the verses in your belief system and pushing out your carnality. Jesus said that God gave Him a command of what to say and what to speak. Jesus gave us the Word to live by. And we are to live by the same Word He did.
