First reference is from the Judeo-christian book of mythology. Then an advertising break for more risible nonsense. Then the logical fallacy of the appeal to the authority of Jesus. Did he actually exist? What did he actually say?
“We shouldn’t be here wasting our time if the earth wasn’t flooded”. Would you agree with that?
Our children get fed the WHAT? The audio cuts out. Did he say the word “lies”? Sounded like it. Does he have any evidence to present in support of that assertion? We are at 2:18 now and still no evidence.
He wants to give his audience something that others can take to increase challengers’ faith. And I though this was about scientific evidence for some alleged flood.
OK. At 3:16 we have sea shells “on the top of every mountain on this earth”. So that makes it “easy to believe there was a global flood”. Except that the dating does not agree they were deposited at the same time. The fossils are millions of years old, their presence consistent with the plate tectonic movement that can be observed to be occurring on a matching timescale.
At 4:42 we have another advertising break. Tedious. At this stage we still don’t have any credible evidence. Apparently asteroids go along completely with the hydroplate theory. I guess it is important to secure the asteroid vote, they are an influential electorate.
Then a biography of a creationist. Is that evidence for a flood?
Of course, we must establish first that this creationist has a PhD from a university that creationists have heard of. It’s 5:41 and still no science.
He’s a mechanical engineer. Does that make him qualified to comment on geology? Who cares? We are still waiting for the evidence.
Now we have genesis telling us that the earth was solid and covered with water. Real science says that this is not true. There is a crust on the surface of a molten earth. I suppose at some point he will tell us how a solid earth melted from the inside.
God creates an “expanse”, or crust. Is that magical appearance a scientific theory? Apparently divine magic is the basis for Dr. Walt Brown PhD’s “reasoning”.
At 8:35 there is an animation of this divine magic. Does that make it more convincing? COOL, it’s going to be animated in HDTV! That should put it beyond a shadow of doubt.
The power of god breathed the heaven and earth into existence. Would that be falsifiable at all?
So far this is bollocks Stripe. Over 9 minutes of evidence-free creationist wittering. Perhaps you can tell us which video contains the science. I think the real, evidence-based version of how seashells got onto the tops of mountains could be summarised in three minutes, without all the throat-clearing of the “he’s got a PhD so it must be right” kind.

I do like the oxymoronic title to the thread though. However, my guess is that I will be REPORTED by Stripe, the self appointed fundy police

Hey Jukia cut out that disrespectful attitude. It's Dr. Walt Brown to you.
The title is indeed oxymoronic, and unless Stripe can show us where the science is in the nearly one hour of video he has embedded, he is posting off-topic in his own thread.

Mea culpa. You are correct, Dr. Walter Brown.
By the way, the good Pastor Lea has many videos on his church's web site, Calvary Church of Port Orchard. Fascinating stuff. Inaccurate, misrepresentative of the science, but I guess if you do that in the name of Christian church you are forgiven. I never got to that verse in my Bible. Must have been my Catholic school education.

cool, there is is again strip putting it out that there are seashells on top of every mountain. which is so demonstrably false that he was denying having said it, earlier.

Evidence? Let's start with the mountains with fossils bit. Every mountain range is built of material that was deposited at around or below sea level.
Why do you reject that as evidence for a global flood?
John Morris (a smart guy) [ur l]htt p://ww w.answer singen esis.org/ home/area /isd/morri s.asp :shut My post isn't as :j azz: flashy as yours. : ("Am I not turtley enough for the turtle club." ~ Pistachio Disguisey
I've read a few of Morris' flood ideas. They don't stack up. Not to mention I can't seem to find a good description of where the water came from and where it went.
The ideas presented for the source and destination of the water in the videos above is very easy to understand. It's the only physical answer with any substance and evidence.
And the other 'smart guys' that find Morris a crank? [u rl=htt p://ncs e.com/ta king-action/list- steves]Like maybe, these 1144 scientists all named Steve?

umm, what about all those volcanic mountains that aren't covered with fossils?
And, as been mentioned, fossils per se don't prove a global flood. In fact- you just said as much yourself- the rocks were deposited "below sea level".

No, every mountain is not built of material deposited at or below sea level; many are composed of igneous and metamorphic rock and contain no fossils. Example, the Southern Alps of NZ, many of which (at least in the southern belts) are composed of Otago Schist bedrock. Furthermore, one is frequently able to map anticlinal and synclinal fold belts within mountain ranges, and trace them laterally to still flat-lying (horizontal) sedimentary units. This indicates that the sediments (fossils and all) were depositing in roughly horizontally, and then deformed (i.e. uplifted).
