our bishops are liberal
and
there is not much we can do about it
but
I see people taking over each parish
and
ignoring the bishop as much as possible

I was thinking of the modern Catholic church.

Clearly, if you're talking about the whole history of the Catholic church, there are other things they have done wrong:

the Crusades....WRONG
the Inquisition...WRONG

Is that a valid justification for the Crusades and inquisitions?

The vast majority of it. I'm skeptical toward some of the later ones such as papal infallibility (I can accept council authority, but putting it on one individual can be too much) and the assumption of Mary.

What doctrine did you have in mind?

"By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." (Luke 1:78-79)

“There is no saint without a past, no sinner without a future.”

― Augustine

There is no answer to your question, KMoney...at least not one that he wants to admit to.
