Yes, That belief can be supported by using Scripture, I do understand where your coming from.
WELL!! - Show us the Scriptures that support that Jesus ( has not come "yet" )!! What did God say!!! Not what one can twist around to fit anything one wants God to FIT!! - God fits the Truth perfectly!!

God exists eternally, outside of this space/time/matter universe which He has created, therefore He knows the end from the beginning - the Lord Jesus will return exactly at the right second in time.
Creator is distinct from creation. God is eternal, but He experiences endless duration/time, not timelessness. The future is fundamentally different than the past and present, so He knows it as possible, probable, and only certain as far as He settles some vs all things.
The timing of His return is contingent on different things, but fully under control of Him. It may or may not be settled yet as to the exact moment. It appears it was not settled in the first century (the future is at least partially open).
Know God and make Him known! (YWAM)
