We can't have capitalism without free enterprise now can we.

As Adam Smith wrote, rarely will businessmen congregate without a plot against the public. They don't like free enterprise, most of them.

I would agree with that there are hypocrites and inconsistencies in any system or group, but bottom line is; money belongs to the people who make it, or it "all" belongs to the government who redistributes it.

You seem to be arguing with yourself, again.

Everybody has the right to "peddle" their view.

And everyone has the right to laugh at foolish views. Laughing at bizarre ideas on your part does not constitute oppression on my part.

I give Obama the right to peddle his, and you yours. But I see, by your remark, you don't seem to believe I have the right to peddle mine, so what does that make you?

I guess that makes me the target of your dishonesty, again. Why do you guys depend so much on inventing ideas for other people? Do you realize that when you claim I believe something I never mentioned, how it looks to other people?

Do you have anything but dishonesty to give us?

I thought this thread would be a good one. I put some points out, for better of worse, to get the ball rolling. It's interesting that not a single liberal, leftest, progressive, commie, whatever was willing to say anything about the difference between them and us? They can criticize everything we say word but have nothing to say for themselves. with that???

as a Catholic what is really disturbing about Barb is that he claims to be Cathlic and yet is liberal... to me that is like ... say... him saying that he is both human and rock...

you can't be both

and the REALLY disturbing thing is that a LOT of catholics are like him...

you go to Mass on Sunday and you see in the parking lot bumper stickers that say Obama ...

but then Jesus did saythat the way to Heaven is narrow and there are few who find it..

even those who do mighty deeds in His name will be rejected (St Mt 7)

I wouldn't worry about Barbie. I think he's just playing games. He wants people here to think he's a Catholic and he wants people here to think he's a Libertarian, but it's clear from his posts where his true allegiances lie.

In fact, I'm liberal on most social issues, (except abortion and gay marriage, and Second Amendment rights) and conservative on most fiscal things. Libertarians are usually like that. But I know a lot of liberal Catholics.

I saw a lot of Bush and McCain stickers too. All pushing abortionist candidates, just differing in how much abortion they like. I voted for Keyes last time, because I didn't want to vote for anyone who favored abortion at all. Who did you vote for?

When you tell us about your choice for president, we'll know how you're doing. My guess is, you won't say, or you'll try to tell us that the kinds of abortion Bush and McCain like are O.K. Can't wait to see.

I suppose, if God accepts your thinking about the evil of voting for someone who doesn't oppose abotion, then all of those who voted for Bush and McCain and Obama will hear Him say:

"I never knew you, Depart from me you evildoers"

Where will you be, when that happens?
