Thanks for answering. I like the NKJV, - have a Thomas Nelson center column reference, giant print version, its tops! One can also compare versions and ancient manuscripts and make their own decisions as far as accuracy goes, or what might be interpolations, or other subtle transcriptions. Of course,....no letters or words can give life, if not inspired and illumined by the Spirit.

I do not want to steal this thread but since some folks puts a lot of importance on Timothy I would give you something to think about.

That the pastoral epistles are 'psuedographical' has long been known. A good portion of the books/epistles ascribed to being 'Pauls' are questionable, and only 7 out of the 13 are generally accepted as 'authentic'.
