"The more scientifically literate, intellectually honest and objectively skeptical a person is, the more likely they are to disbelieve in anything supernatural, including god."
The article is quite positive actually when you read it. Here are some quotes.
Quote:
More than half of U.S. voters approve of God's job performance, according to a new poll, making God more popular than all members of Congress.
Quote:
The poll -- which was conducted by the Democratic research firm Public Policy Polling (PPP) -- surveyed 928 people and found that 52 percent of Americans approved of God's overall dealings, while only 9 percent disapproved.
The breakdown is quite interesting later in the article but all round God still does better than most politicians.

. . . if that's a positive it isn't very much so?

He is unapologetic (Ro 9:15,18). What more can he do? Jn 3:16. Did you know it is a disgrace in the Middle East to be seen running after the age of 30? I would look like a fool every day because I cannot remember the last time I walked to an airplane. Michael Youssef discussed the the prodigal son on his program today. The Father ran to his son (Lk 15:2). God descended to become a man and he even allowed himself to be humiliated. You will not get sympathy from me if you fail to humble yourself before him.
Oh no! this just cant be! - I got the giggles when I read the thread-title, but then again....coming from you, it was totally your 'forte'
Critiquing 'God' could be pretty risky in some quarters, with attending penalties. But its cool if we get to vote our 'approvals' and 'disapprovals', not that this would affect divine Providence any, unless 'God' cares what we think

We live in a cynical age we can't expect people to give anyone perfect marks. I'd be much more concerned if people placed more trust and approval in politicians then they do God and I'm pleasantly surprised they don't.
