Neurosurgeon calls Mark Levin - December 7th, 2011, 08:25 AM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wsnHGI5K-E

A neurosurgeon calls into the Mark Levin show, saying he's just returned from a conference in which he's been told that neurosurgery under Obamacare will sharply limit his ability to treat patients over 70.

He tells Levin that the documents from HHS describe patients as "units" and that if they're over 70, that care beyond "comfort care" will be "not generally indicated."
He goes on to say that decisions regarding surgical care even in the ER will be decided by an "ethics panel" of administrators, not doctors.

Levin then says to him that Sarah Palin was right about the death panels, and the neurosurgeon says yes.

OK, some of you might say this is just an anonymous caller, we have no way of verifying, etc., but if this can be verified, then yes, Palin was right. Many libs eviscerated her over the comment, but I think she was right too.
Time will tell, this is the bill that Pelosi told Congress to pass, so they could see what was in it. And they did.

Take the time to listen to this; it's under five minutes.

When you pool resources together (which is what insurance is.. whether private or publicly funded).. there are always going to be decisions that are for the benefit of the many instead of the one. With the escalating cost of medical care, these types of decisions were inevitable.. obamacare or not.

After all, what good is medical insurance if no one can afford it?

The decisions are currently made by doctors, not administrative "ethics panels."

Of course she was. Anybody with half a brain could tell that the resistance to Sarah Palin by the likes of barbie or Town was due to partisan blinders and nothing else.

No they aren't... they are made by the insurance companies and the ability of the patient to pay. All of which influence the doctor (or hamstring them).

My 89 year old father in law wants a knee replacement, and the doctor wants to do it.. medicare will not pay for it... so he is not getting it done.

You're comparing private insurance with medicare. Medicare is the precursor to Obamacare, so no surprises there.

Both have a finite amount of money and make decisions to keep their liabilities to a reasonable amount.

So comparing both is valid.

Private companies do the same thing.

To me it just gets worse with the Government....just like all things. Want to make a bad situation worse? Call the Government.

Exactly. I don't really see the "Obamacare death panels" as being different from when private insurance companies decide whether or not they will pay for a certain treatment.

Insurance company = PRIVATE
Patient= PRIVATE
doctor= PRIVATE

now all of the above are wards of the state. The only crisis in healthcare costs was a private one, except Medicare and Medicaid. Now the government has taken on additional burden unnecessarily and it will lead to higher cost, less benefit and death panels.

Your father in law is a ward of the state. If he wants a knee he can pay cash or get private insurance. Nobody is stopping him. Now, that care medicare is providing your father in law will be the standard for all people too old to work. Just watch, 55 yo's who want a new knee, gonna be tough.

Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. If you deny that basic truth, you cannot be saved. God came to save you, you cannot be saved if you do not believe in Him as He is.

Better stash a couple away when you're in your forties, just in case.
