LH, I don't undestand the difference between "mental illness" and "unsound mind". Are they not just two terms relating to the same thing? How is saying someone has an unsound mind different, to you, than saying they are mentally ill?
Are you for real? Yes I understand that I'm a home-educated preacher standing against homosexuality. I'm about as politically incorrect as it gets. What you have is not an argument it's a presuposition though.

I don't quite get the point of this thread, except as a vehicle to sling dirt on all homosexuals.
If he would have been found taping girls, there wouldn't be a thread about a man's rampant heterosexuality.
This is a sick guy who should be punished. It has nothing to do with consenting adults' behaviors, and they are not accountable for him and should not be tarnished by his actions.
I read this thread from a different perspective than you did. While I am not willing to accuse someone of being a child molester on the sole basis of their sexual identity, I AM willing to state that ANYONE who molests a child deserves the death penalty.
I am with you in an emotional level. If anyone touched any of the kids in my family, I would want blood. In principle I object to the death penalty altogether, however. I don't think it serves the common good to have blood on our hands -- especially when mistakes are made. And when the death penalty is applied on non-violent crimes, the government is actually escalating the violence. Trickle down occurs in ethos more so than economics.

Pedophile is an adult who has sexual attraction to children (male or female).

I got it from a show that was specifically about sex crimes. I figured they would get it right in wanting to properly present the matter. It seems you are somewhat wrong as well; a pederast is an adult male who engages in sex with other males, usually children.
So then, what is a woman who molests children?

Tens of thousands of clinical hours over decades and the research that goes with it has taught me a few things. Serial child molesters CAN NOT BE REHABILITATED. Victim's rate of suicide go up by a HUGE percentage along with their addiction percentage. It is the gift that keeps on giving. Leviticus 20:13, now you know why.....
