Homosexuality - January 14th, 2012, 03:55 PM

How does that fit into politics? I never come in this forum normally because - let's be fair - it's all guns, Republicans, Democrats, mega-long campaigns and all that...but I saw the 'Politics' tag and the subjects below, and homosexuality was right near the top. In what way is it linked to politics? You Americans is like proper crazy.

Actually, how about we talk about some other sexual deviant behavior?

I see that the Swiss are contemplating legalizing incest.

"Switzerland has proposed decriminalizing consensual sexual relationships between first-degree relatives, like siblings and also between parents and their adult children. Any coercive sex or incest with a minor would still be illegal."
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/switzer...ry?id=12395499

Consensual perversion "good", coercive perversion "bad".

Incest has biblical groundings does it not?

Of course, the bible shouldn't be used to shape legislation, as otherwise the world would be in a right pickle.

And you Welsh are on the wrong side of the dike

Nah, truth be told, homosexuality in politics is played out. Politicians either grandstand about it or entirely ignore it during election time. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium. Here in Arizona, hardly anyone but the LDS (Mormon) church says much about it. We're too busy with illegal immigration and the state being outright broke to care much about gay people. Should homosexuality be a topic in politics? Sure. Great drama, and people love scandals, and for whatever reason, homosexuality makes for great dramatic scandal.

No thank you ... a *religious* website has nothing to do with our secular government.

The homos made it a political issue.

And any criminal activity is a political issue insofar as it pertains to government and legislation.

Everything in america is politics.

Nah, just kidding. But I tend to agree with lighthouse and culturewarrior on this one. The homosexuals want a president that will feed their agenda. Thus it is a political topic.

Nice link. Anyone who wants to understand how the law originated in this country, needs to study a little puritan jurisprudence, because our current laws started there and are all biblically based, even if they dont like knowing it. They can even see scanned copies of documents in their libraries if they are interested in real learning on it.

The reason why society frowns on incest is because it's dangerous. Children born of incestual relationships are at much greater risk of having severe genetic abnormalities ,birth defects, deformities, dieseases etc.
Inbreeding is NOT a good idea.
