Hard worker? What can YOU do to earn your salvation?
Exclusively Christian TheologyThis forum is exclusively for those who consider themselves Christian and consider the Bible to be the inspired word of God.
Sorry for ganging up on you. When I see someone critiquing military membership I often feel like jumping in since I was in it myself.
I don't know if you were looking for an explicit answer, but even though we know the world comes to an end does not mean we should be a part of that process. Christians should always seek to conserve the world where it advances the cause of the gospel, as we understand it is God's world and thus of great worth. Especially the people contained therein.
I do not understand why everyone keeps thinking I am against the military...I am FOR IT; I uphold it, and I respect it...it is God's Authority to keep the world in check, like He used the Romans, to destroy Jerusalem, and the temple...to work His will. What I am saying, and will continue to say is that IF you are a Christian, you must not take part in what God has ordained for the world....AFTER you receive that knowledge. When increase comes, so does RESPONSIBILITY.
Enough said, love does not harm/kill his/her enemies, and those whom think it does, are misled.
I will not argue this anymore.....it is the fact that 'some' claim it DOES that I have been refuting, but if they cannot hear, JESUS, and HIS words, there is NOTHING I can do about it.
Jesus does not judge us unsaved for not coming out of the military IF we have not understood it is not His will. He will cut those whom proclaim HIS ways are the false form or type of love, IF they refuse to hear Him, however.
AFTER two or three times their hearts have been convicted.....offense comes due to conviction, and I see many are offended...by the truth, and words of Jesus.

Who says it otherwise?
The difference hinges upon my last sentence. I believe we are saved before we do all those things, and such salvation is eternal (which I know you disagree with).

I am making you accountable for your cliams. You are not showing godly and scriptural fruit with your actions. So your claim is moot and just empty word.
If you want to play that game, then fine. That's a mighty charge that you throw out like its candy. I've seen you ignore people who answer you, but if you want to proceed it's up to you.
James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Abraham had faith, and kept a well trained army handy.
David had faith, and kept a well trained army handy.
Solomon had faith, and kept a well trained army handy.
The idea that a trained military army should only consist of those without faith is ludicrous.

Their faith was NOT yet perfected by love, when they had these armies, they had not entered the REST of God, as of yet.....once faith is perfected by love/new covenant that fulfills it, you cannot go back to across the river, lest ye drown..or turn to salt.
You have never made it to the other side, or you have, and then later left your first love. Love waxing cold, is all about leaving the new covenant ways, for to return to the old law system, that allowed for such.
Love perfected in the new covenant, does not allow for it.
So, you are yet living the way of fear, which is why you carry your big guns....bible in one hand, gun in another, you have one foot in the world, my friend.

The armies of those times were made up of the common workers of the people who would never swear their allegences to their governments to do anything whatever the worldly government told them to do, unless they were non believers of Caesars armies and the like.
No comparison to todays armies whose equipment is the major sourse of revenue to much of the USA economy.
It is not long now that the USA army Christians will be the servants of the endtimes Beast.
And just WHEN do you say a person IS perfected by love??????
You seem to have been claiming that it is still on ongoing process for all of us.
At what point is one actually perfected in your eyes?
Can you name some folks who have actually reached that perfection?

Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Php 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Php 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Php 3:16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Php 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1Jn 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

You cannot seperate faith and works. And the problime is that mainstreacm churches are not even showing godly works which Jesus commands to do.

I don't play games whatsoever. You dismiss His word to spread your false gospel. That is the bottom line of mainstream doctrines.
