Up at 5, Spanish test, airport run, babysit, on the phone, mail the bills, do the laundry, fill the car, check the oil, Chinese take-out, home at last.
Good or bad, happy, sad, busy, slow, high or low.....

Up at noon, haircut, tried on a skirt, didn't fit, Hebrew class, bought a hair accessory, off to the grocery store, home to make dinner, watched some TV with the husband and now driving myself insane reading TOL threads.
I believe that the Universe is one being, all its parts are different expressions of the same energy,
and they are all in communication with each other, therefore parts of one organic whole.
This whole is in all its parts so beautiful, and is felt by me to be so intensely in earnest, that I am compelled to love it and to think of it as divine
- Robinson Jeffers
I got up at 6:00, took a female stray cat to the Vet to get fixed, drove my service truck to job site, and welded on a track-hoe 'til 6:00 PM, came home and went to sleep in the recliner whilst reading TOL.

To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic.

Son had surgery today. His daughter gave him strep on his right arm. She had it in the normal place, the throat, she must have scratched him and he got it under his skin on his arm.
All will be well now that they know what it the problem was. They thought it was cellulites (sp) but no antibiotics were helping.
His arm was painful, red and swollen.
Kinda weird I had mentioned that it was a coincidence that his daughter had just had strep 2 times in 3 weeks and then this turns up. Mother's intuition I suppose.
Drs hadn't even considered such a thing. I had never heard of strep under the skin.
The surgery consisted of removing a bubble filled with strep.
"Myths are not lies," Tolkien countered, among the swaying trees of Magdalen Grove. Materialistic progress leads only to the abyss, Tolkien said, but the myths we tell reflect a fragment of the true light. He argued the Christ story functions as a myth, just like the Scandinavian myths they had loved, with one difference: The Christian myth was true.
