God gave laws to Moses for how to determine the truth. Isaiah in chapter 28 understood that those who would learn knowledge would learn how to use the law to obtain knowledge. Jesus Christ, in Matthew chapter 5 verses 17 to 19 explained that those who learn the truths within the law, and teach them to others would become great in his kingdom.
As far as you being saved, until you overcome sin you have not been saved from anything because you die as you are and if you are still sinning when you die, you will die in your sins. Those who did not believe in the name of Jesus are condemned already; they are condemned to living a life in sin. On the other hand, those who believe on the name of Jesus Christ have been given the power to become the sons of God who do not sin.
If in the name of Jesus Christ you do not become a son of God who has overcome sin, you have missed the mark.
Sin is missing the mark.
As far as knowledge is concerned, Paul says there is a still more excellent way.

Amen,
There is a more excellent way and that excellent way is Jesus Christ formed in you who will fulfill the law through you today just as he did 2000 years ago when he walked on earth.
However, Christ cannot be formed in you without you having the knowledge of the basic and fundamental doctrines of Jesus Christ as found in Hebrews chapter 6 verses 1 and 2. There is no way on God's green earth that you can learn those 7 doctrines in accordance to the truth, without the knowledge of the law. It was because of the lack of knowledge that God said his people perish.

We should heed God's instruction (law).
But doing so will not form Christ in you. God can do that. We can't.

Here is where you are wrong because it is through the knowledge of the law that we understand what it takes to have Christ formed in us. Without that knowledge Christ will not be formed in you because it is the truth of God's word that forms Christ in you.
It is through the law that you are to become able to determine what words come from God, as well is what doctors are approved by God, versus what words and doctrines come from the enemy of God's children.
Are you getting this and the reason why you must learn the truth within the law?
Of the 236 pages in my book well over 200 of them teach the knowledge that is necessary and found only within the law. There is not a better place for you to learn them.

My passage comes from Romans 2.
Romans 2:20 a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the immature, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth,
Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

This verse has to do with a literal letter of the word understanding of the law which is exactly what you are doing.
What I am trying to get you to see how to do is obtain a spiritual understanding of the law because God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in truth and in spirit, no if's, ands, or buts about it!
I need to return a phone call, good luck.

Shalom.
And I encourage you to learn the context of the Bible so you can understand God's purpose and plan for man, because until you do you'll never get on the right path.
The difference between us and why I have faith with works witnessed through signs and wonders following me, and you do not, is because not only are you not on the right path, you do not even know the right path is that you need to get on. Before you can witness the blessing of God's purpose being fulfilled in you, you have to learn what the blessing is that is available to you, which is something that you have not yet done.
Considering the context of one verse alone will not stand up to obedience and following God's commandments to compare spiritual things with spiritual things, or simply put for you to, learning the truth by comparing God's word in one location with God's word and another location in accordance to God's commandments for how to learn knowledge. Until you learn how to do that in accordance to God's laws you are disobeying God because you are using one verse (one witness) for your own private interpretation therefore missing the prophecy that has been written for you to learn.
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
If you would learn the laws for determining truth you would know that one verse (witness) cannot be used by itself to determine doctrine, unfortunately you refuse to learn the law therefore you remain ignorant of the truth.
Now I have a question for you, do you know for sure that you have been baptized with the Holy Spirit through evidence given that could be as simple as you speaking in tongues, or much better understanding prophecy or being given a word of knowledge about persons that you have been led to pray over that only those persons would know about themselves? In other words have you been given proof of being baptized in the Holy Spirit? I ask because you are always asking questions but never seem to be able learn the truth.
I remeber another member here asking you a similar question, and ask you out of concern rather than trying to insult you

Romans 2 and 20 is condemning those who teach why the church today condemns homosexuality but then supports wars and advocates wars with countries like Iran. How repugnant is that yet that is exactly what you and those who think like you teach the law, and therefore disobey the commandments of Jesus in Matthew 5 verses 19.
If you understood truth you would know why God raised the blanket 3 times in Peter's vision, but you do not, and that is why God does not show himself strong on your behalf with signs and wonders.
Because He does not show himself strong on your behalf, what will you do when someone's life depends upon God answering your prayer? Because, until you learn the truth there is no indication whatsoever that God will answer your prayer and spare their life. Therefore, when they die it will be because you thought you knew the truth when you did not.
Fortunately for my sake, when I died from a car accident there was someone present who knew the truth and was able pray for my life that resulted in me being raised from the dead.
Good thing for me it was not you that was praying for my life.
I would prefer not to have to talk so directly to you, but because you continue to refuse the truth I am not left with any option.
Blessings

Every soul will exist forever in either heaven or hell.
The Hebrew word for soul is ne'phesh and it means "being/life". Take for instance how it is used in Leviticus 2:11 - And he should not come to any dead soul. For his father and his mother he may not defile himself. Even animals are referred to as living bodies (souls): And God went on to say: “Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.”
Ezekiel 18:4 lays plainly that the soul that sins will die. It is not an immortal concept. All souls sin - therefore they die. The condition of the dead in sheol = nonexistence. What atheists consider the condition of the dead is actually what Christians should believe. The entire chapter of Ecclesiastes 9 makes this facet obvious:
Quote:
There is one fate for the righteous AND the wicked; For the living know they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor have they any longer a reward, for their memory is forgotten.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in sheol where you are going.
Furthermore, it is theologically contradictory for you, even if you disregard this evidence, to persistent in the idea that souls will exist eternally in hell:
Quote:
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Here, Jesus is stating the obvious - both BODY and SOUL are destroyed in gehenna. Unfortunately, Christians will apply this wording as proof of philosophical dualism (body & soul = material), but that contradicts Hebraic theology & origin. The soul does not continue to existence in gehenna. There is no consciousness, for it is the "second sheol".

Hello Guildenstern
Pleased to meet you
Unlike Adam who was created a living soul because he was alive to God through his perfect sinless creation, souls today are born dead to God because of sin. Our soul is the sum of the spirit we were born with in the same manner that Isaiah Chapter 11 verse 2 shows the spirit and the soul (mind) of God as seen in Jesus Christ.
Because of the curse and Satan crawling over the face of the earth, the spirit and soul of Adam (means red man) who is Eve, the spirit and soul of man is an unclean spirit and soul that cannot make it into heaven because of the uncleanliness in it that is sin ,which is a noun and not a verb.
This is why we (Christians baptized with the Holy Spirit) have been given a new spirit that is holy and is without sin. Because the spirit is a seed it is capable of bringing a tree in the image of the donor tree that the seed came from, that in this case we know to be the tree of life that is Jesus Christ.
The same as Eve (soul) came from Adam (spirit) so does the soul (mind) of God come from the Holy Spirit of God. If the Holy Spirit in us that is Christ the seed in us is fed the truth from above (manna from heaven) through the law of the seed it will bring forth the mind of Christ in us. The catch is it must be fed the truth and not the doctrines of man that are earthly dung not suitable for food to be given to Christ the seed in us grow on.
So you can see that the soul of a person who has not come to Christ is already dead and therefore does not need to die. For that person in this life to ever possess a soul or spirit that is alive unto God, they must 1st come to the cross and then experience through their obedience to God, the blessings of Pentecost.
Blessings

You do have an option in what you say. The spirit is subject to the prophet.
1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
I do not advocate war or homosexuality.
I also do not teach that Christians are under the law.
I also do not teach that if you can't raise the dead God does not hear your prayer.
God works through each of us individually. He has equipped us for service.
And His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness.
Shalom.
