You Cannot "Reach Out With Your Heart." -
February 22nd, 2012, 09:28 AM
There is no Scripture which demostrates anyone can, "Reach out with our heart!!"
Yet, every Sunday thousands of Professional Church Babblers tell their congregations to lift up their hands, and "Reach Out!!" to some person, some issue, some situation, as if people can thereby use their "Hearts!!" to make a difference.
This is just another example of the psychobabble within White American Christendom. And, as with all other psychobabble, the effects of a promoted act are just imaginary. It is all done to make people think they are doing something "For Jesus!!", when in fact it is just empty.
Welcome to a powerless ideology. Lol.

I think most people understand the concept. Do you have a problem with encouraging congregations to do good deeds? That's esentially what "reach out with your heart" means. Do you have Asperger's?
I believe that the Universe is one being, all its parts are different expressions of the same energy,
and they are all in communication with each other, therefore parts of one organic whole.
This whole is in all its parts so beautiful, and is felt by me to be so intensely in earnest, that I am compelled to love it and to think of it as divine

Amen! Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

What makes you think "Reaching Out With Your Heart" represents a good deed?

Yeah, reaching out to the Lord with your whole heart is Biblical and right. It means to seek Him completely, and to request in earnest.
As opposed to just being skeptical about everything Christians do or say the way shelli does.
Are your English reading skills quite poor? I have not conveyed mere skepticism about the psychobabble issues brought forward within many of my threads, but rather I have specified the clear Godlessness and superficiality of the psychobabble. Lo.
Do you enjoy the Christian psychobabble promoted by Preachers which you swallow without assessing?
Lol.
Think carefully, here. Where does Scripture say anything about "Reaching Out With our Hearts?" Answer up like a knowledgeable and wise Christian. Lol.

Hey Shelli, I think Sky has a point. Reaching out with anything (your hand, money, a good word, a thought, or just listening...) is reaching out. But it all starts from the heart, metaphorically at least. That is where our motivation comes from.
You do realize that some of the ancients noticed that without a heart a person will not live, right? That is how that metaphor got started.
