Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
For your info, the mighty god in Isaiah has been translated as a mighty warrior. I don't know if it is correct so I would not base my faith on that verse.
I have many more verses that show that God is the father of Jesus. That Jesus has a God. So I hate to disappoint you but my statement stands that Jesus is NOT the almighty God.
Psalm 1 and Job 28:28
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Joh 4:23 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

I have never been so free BR. I am not stumbling at all, except when my back goes out. After seven back surgeries I guess I should expect that.
There are a lot of nice folks who I disagee with. Godrulz and I have been at war for years, but i like the guy for his sincere posts. You, your on my should I choke you or pat you on the back list.
Time will tell my friend.
You were bought with a price...yet you deny your Redeemer, the Holy ONE. God with us...the God of the whole earth....the Lord of Hosts. He's hiding in plain sight.
2 Peter 2:1
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Psalm 78:35
And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.
Isaiah 54:5
For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
1 Peter 1:18-19
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
I agree with that, but the discussion was about Jesus believing in his God (father). He quite strongly believed in him for he is the only one to ever see him.
Are you surprised?
In the beginning was the Word...and the Word was God...and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. He was before all things, created all things and all things were created by and for Him.
We could make a huge billboard and put it in front of your door and you would still refuse to see. Ye would not.....

What does that verse have to do with the time of day?
You pick all the verse that have big question marks.
Define LOGOS?
Psalm 1 and Job 28:28
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Ho hum...I don't know so I'll just toss it aside.
I toss no verses aside, BR wanted me to do that, but I would not.
But, seriously, this verse has questions also. SO, I do not use it as a foundation for my faith. If you choose to, I realy don"t care.
Psalm 1 and Job 28:28
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Deuteronomy 6:4 - "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:"
Now this is a very important thing to listen to, because this word "one" shows compound unity. How so? Okay, first draw a little circle around the word "one" and write the Hebrew word "'echad" off into the margin of your Bible. Now I want you to flip to Genesis Chapter 2 and read verse 24.
Genesis 2:24 - "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
Alright, now circle the word "one" in this passage within Genesis and I want you to write the Hebrew word off to the side of your Bible again. Now, what does the Hebrew word say? "'echad" That is right!
In other words, the Hebrew word "'echad" in Deuteronomy 6:4 is the same Hebrew word "'echad" to describe the compound unity of man & his wife in Genesis 2:24 as becoming one flesh.
To put it to you another way, just as YHWH is a compound unity as the Godhead, a husband and his wife also are a compound unity in the sense of them becoming one flesh.
#2. The Almighty Attributes of Jesus Christ...
A. Jesus is Eternal:
Jesus is Eternal. Micah 5:2 says he is from everlasting. Colossians 1:16 states that he created everything. If Jesus created everything, he can't be part of his own creation. So he would have to be eternal.
B. Jesus is Eternal life:
Jesus is eternal life. In 1 John 5:20, we find out that Jesus is called eternal life. Now how could eternal life have a beginning? Eternal life cannot have a beginning because it's eternal. And that is what Jesus is identified as in 1 John 5:20. Jesus, therefore, is eternal. He's not created.
C.Jesus is the true God:
In fact, 1 John 5:20 also says that Jesus Christ is the true God, as well.
D. Jesus is Omniscient:
Jesus is also known as all-knowing or Omniscient. That is found in John 14:14 where it's certainly alluded to because Jesus said whatever you ask me, I will do it. Jesus said we could pray to him. For us to pray to him, we are really saying that Jesus would have to be all-knowing because if there's a group of us here in the USA praying to the Lord Jesus, and another group over in Canada, and another group down in Mexico, Jesus would have to be all-knowing to hear all of our prayers at the same point in time.
And in John 21:17. Jesus said the third time to Simon, do you love me? And then we read:
"And he said unto him,Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee"
E. Jesus is Omnipotent:
Jesus is Omnipotent or all-powerful. In Matthew 28:18 Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." Some translations say, all power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Same word: power, authority.
Now, ask yourself: "Who has all power or all authority in heaven?"
It was given to Jesus. Right?
Now, I want you to ask yourself another question:
"Who has all of the authority and all of the power in heaven, the Father or the Son, according to this verse?
It would be Jesus and NOT the Father. Right?
Now, ask yourself if you are worshiping the One with all power in heaven. Can you do that?
F.Jesus is Omnipresent:
Is Jesus everywhere present? Matthew 18:20 teaches he is because Jesus said he promises where two or three are gathered in my name there am I in the midst of them. Jesus is where Christian brothers and sisters are gathered, two or three of them. So he's everywhere present. Did not Jesus say in Rev. 3:20, behold here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I'll come in and eat with him and he with me? For him to make that promise, he would have to be everywhere present, and therefore God.
So Jesus is called God and there are comparisons between the Old and the New Testament that show the same. He is eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful and everywhere present. Therefore Jesus Christ is God. There's no question about that.

At your request, I provided more pictures to help convince you.

As I told you already...you are using John 20 to support what you say about our forgiving one another. That is error. Jesus had just risen from the dead, and He said He was SENDING them out to preach the forgiveness of sins. He was not telling them, "Be sure and forgive one another."
You have to take every verse in the context it's written or you will continue to make the same mistakes you've made here. Was Jesus SENDING THEM OUT to forgive those who had sinned against them, or was He sending them out to preach the forgiveness of sins? This is important, because it's the Great Commission...this isn't just a reminder to forgive others.
They were SENT OUT to DECLARE the forgiveness of sin.
John 20:21-23
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
Here we see the same thing...Was Jeremiah going to do the destroying, or was he going to DECLARE it?
Jeremiah 1:10
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
When you read this verse, it sounds like Joseph is the one who hanged the guy. You have to read the whole thing in context before you'd get it. Same with John 20....what were the disciples being SENT OUT to do?
Gen. 41:12-13
And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.
I'm not a Greek scholar, either, but I do know when I read a particular text it has to fit with the rest of Scripture, and it's context. Here's something you should read so you don't keep making the same error.
Thanks for your reply, I will come back, as I don't know where you are with all this..

Jason has the Spirit of Christ dwelling in him, and that's more than you can claim. Being able to understand scripture is the biggest clue...he does, you don't. The kicker, though, is that Jason is able to confess Jesus as his Lord and God...you can't.

Oatmeal, I don't know what to do with all these words:
If the word ''of'' is not in Hebrew, how must we understand ''Prophet of God'', how must we understand ''Children of God'', how must we understand ''Son of God'', How must we understand Word of God''
I did a search on this there are 927 verses, that say ''........ of God''
2Co 5:17 Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.
Formally, the word "shel" means of. This word can be modified to denote possession for pronouns:
* mine = of me = sheli
* yours = of you = shelkha/shelakh
* his = of him = shelo
..etc
When two nouns are together, the "of" may be implied, but the first noun takes on a transformation. Usually, a masculine noun will not change, so "david's horse" = "sus david". Feminine nouns that end in "-ah" are changed to end in "-at": "david's mare" = "susat david".
Deuteronomy 6:4 - "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:"

Very good. You have just shown you don't have to be a trinity to be one. Further, once again we see the Bible showing a family is one. Throw out those unscriptural trinitarian doctrines, in favor of the true oneness of God.

Nope. We've been over this - even though you say Jesus was hiding his knowledge, the scriptures plainly state that he didn't know when he was returning, and didn't know many things before being told by his Heavenly Father.
