I'm not sure I'd put it that way. But in general, yes. Believing in Christ is pleasing to the Father (I would hope you'd agree). And since we cannot please Him in the flesh, it leaves us with only one conclusion. One must be in the Spirit to please God.

However, Calvinism turns the process around. We must first place our faith before becoming a child of God. Calvinism states that regeneration must take place before we can have the faith. And that's only if we're one of the "elect" chosen before the foundation of the world...

There is "your" problem. You don't believe Scripture.
