You can't get that from the passage. Well, maybe YOU can, but not people who understand what exegesis is.

I have placed Clete, nickcharles and beloved57 on permanent ignore. I have deemed them all, unreasonably argumentative and clueless. That is why...GM...

Translation: I don't want people poking holes in my arguments. I would rather ignore them then have to defend my views. Only people who think I'm right should respond.

I meant this to be a serious thread but unfortunately it attracted a couple of angry, argumentative dunderheads (Clete and NickCharles) I subsequently put both of them on ignore. So perhaps some sanity and dignity will return. If not, I'd rather see this thread go down the tubes then to continue to degenerate under the influences of those two nitwits!!!GM

GM,
Yes I am Reformed [Calvinist]. Not always, but I have come to see the Reformed school of thought to have the best explanations of the totality of Scripture. Are there problematic verses? Yes, indeed.
You might be able to make a point for Unlimited Atonement from other verses [in isolation] but you really can't make it from these verses. Not without reading into them stuff that you want to see there.
I am guessing that you are not trying to make a point for Universalism, but it sure sounds like you are heading that way:
"Faith is something ALL of humanity possesses."
"Without faith it's impossible to please God"
If all have faith, and one pleases God through faith, than all please God.

If you disagree with me, then I know I'm speaking truth...
You are speaking lies, and do not know it, because it is written 2 Thess 2:11
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Nothing you can do but believe the lie !
Rom 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Just a thought.

Like I said, we'll agree to disagree. I know from past experience it's a very "unpleasant" circumstance to debate a Calvinist. They always start up with the anger and name calling. Not just on this forum, but on numerous others as well.

Beloved57 is what you would call a, "hyper-Calvinist." He's brainwashed and deluded to the hilt. He's what could be classified as, an extremest. Even the more staunch Calvinists would not align themselves with such a character...
On the other hand, NickCharles and Clete are just a couple of guys looking for some trouble to cause. They're angry and seeking out a confrontation with someone, anyone...
