Considering I've heard different from several sources, I would like a source for your information.

That is the major problem with the health care law. Most of the information out there is Rethuglican spin. I am disappointed in the Democratic party for not fighting harder and attempting to correct the misrepresentations of the right.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but GM stock would now be non-existent had the govt not put $ into the business.

The comment about being able to fire a CEO if you loan a lot of $ to a business is accurate. Surely the Mittster would have fired the CEO of a company his firm put $ into if he felt that it put his $ at greater risk. Sort of like the fact that the right is OK with insurance companies rationing health care but not if the govt does it. Somehow its OK if the market kills people?

Not only would GM stock be gone, so would GM itself. If Obama really was a communist this would have been a great way to start.

It's amazing that what makes perfect business sense is somehow seen as being communist these days. I'm sure the Mittser would have fired a lot more than just the CEO, that is what Baine Capital did after all. But we're not talking about Romney are we. Funny, if you fire a lot of people you're a conservative republican, you fire one you're a communist.

Get it right Gerald, it's "Government Motors"

March 21, 2012
After GM’s IPO, stockholders looked with great anxiety at the 32 percent the U.S. government still holds in General Motors. Allegedly, the U.S. government wanted to shed that share as quickly as possible, and someone dumping the stock does not make for rising stock prices. Now, GM is sending out smoke signals that a sale is far from imminent. GM’s chief spokesman Selim Bingol wrote in a blog that “the day will eventually come when the Treasury sells its GM stake. When is anybody’s guess (we have no say in the matter).”

In a perverse way, the GM stock had tanked before the U.S. government could dump it. The low stock price holds the government hostage. “At current stock prices,” writes the Detroit News, “the Treasury would incur a loss of nearly $16 billion on its bailout of GM.”

The stock currently is 24 percent below its $33 IPO price. Says the DetN:

“Given that a sale before the November presidential election would highlight the cost of the government’s rescue of GM, officials say it is unlikely the government will sell any shares before then.”

Wow... catholics are the worse christians I come across every day.. the hardest drinking, biggest cussers, biggest womanizers, etc. But they go to confess to their priest every week to feel better I guess.. because they will the the same things again this week.

Jesus did not teach fear. he taught love. Fear is the tool of men as a means to control people.

I have yet to meet a reliable 'roman catholic' author that cares about truth.

i am in more a position than you are to know what is goign wrong in the Church... and i see a LOT... and am not afraid to confront what i see as wrong... unlike many Cahtolics (which is one of the major things i see being wrong... Catholics do not come out against a lot of what is going wrong in the Church... but whatever

what cahtolic

or "Catholic"

people do is one thing

when a catholic or "Catholic" does something, whether good or bad, it is NOT the Church doing it... it is that individual doing it..

If a Jehovah W were to do soemthing, you wouldn't just say All JWs do (da da da)

so maybe you should consider treating Cahtolics the same way

Even if there are avaricous priests/bishops... well, that's THEM... individuals

the pope lives in a small apartment at the Vatican with only a small desk, a bed and a lamp... last i heard he doesn't even have an air conditioner!!

dont beleive everything u hear about the RCC... 80% of it is a LIE (esp if it comes from the liberal media) and 10% is distorted/exaggerated... which to me is another way of saying its a lie

and i do not know ONE Catholic who does as many of you protestants say:

lie, cheat, over-drink, etc...

and then go to Confession and act like that's all they have to do... confess and voila' ... they can now go back to doing the aforemtnd

what a bunch of ...

but it proves the point i just made: that most of what peole hear about the CAtholic Church is a LIE

hardly any Catholics go to confession anymore

and the ones who do are devout...

and when they sin, they try hard to stop doing that sin...

and technically we only have to go to confession for MORTAL sins anyhow: adultery, abortion, promoting abortion (which includes voting for pro-abortion candidates...) and etc...

I can name 8 individuals at work here that talk about being catholic and catholic things all the time.. yet

Their wives too are devout catholics.

I have driven them home when they got drunk multiple times in the past 10 years. I appointed myself designated driver because I care about them so much.

and I could go on.
