Mortally (or morally) wrong?...No, just stupendously stupid and arrogant.

To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic.

It speaks to his character, gives a portrayal of him different from the one presented by his supporters and gives credence to Zimmerman's version of the events of the evening.
IOW, was Trayvon

I suspect the answer to that question would have been highly dependent upon circumstances and audience....like with most 17 year olds.

The attack happened near Cactus Middle School, but Ford didn't know if any of the teens involved were students there.
The video shows as many as 10 boys surrounding the victim and challenging him to a fight. The suspects then began hitting the teen while others watched.
During the beating, the teens made racially derogatory statements that were captured on the video, Ford said.
After the victim fell to the ground, the assailants kicked him multiple times in the head, knocked out several teeth and left shoe impressions on his skin, Ford said.

If I had sons, they'd look like these vicious little thugs!
I seen him have a big bandage on his nose and his nose swollen. On the side, where his eyes were at, it was swollen," he said.
He points out exactly where on a picture.
"I seen the bandage right here, and this side of his nose and this side of his nose was swollen.
He says that the voice heard screaming on the 911 call is that of George Zimmerman.
Of course, the police report says they treated the injuries on the spot to stop the bleeding. There are medical reports that validate Zimmermans testimony. And the video which shows the his scalp damaged.
ABC News has re-digitized video of George Zimmerman taken shortly after Trayvon Martin's shooting.
The video was unveiled as an exclusive this morning on "Good Morning America." ABC was the first news organization to show the original tape.
Reporter Matt Gutman said the clearer video shows "what appear to be a pair of gashes or welts on George Zimmerman's head."
Neighborhood Watch volunteer Zimmerman has said he shot 17-year-old Trayvon in self-defense. The video shows Zimmerman arriving at the Sanford Police Department within an hour after the shooting.
Gutman said the video had been "clarified" by Forensic Protection Inc. Former FBI Special Agent Brad Garrett told ABC that the clearer video shows "marks on the back of Mr. Zimmerman's head."
Whoops. They meant to show the other enhancement was fake. Sorry about that. Didn't mean to prove Zimmerman was the victim.
I don't think there is any doubt that Zimmerman was indeed getting hit before he shot Martin (even before that video, we had an eye witness that had Martin on top of Zimmerman, and the police report describing his bloody nose and head).
We're still missing key facts - who initiated contact and who initiated violence.

Sad what the liberal race baiters have caused isn't it. Even sadder is that our laughing stock of a president joined right in with it showing the world what a racist he is.
NBC News reportedly has begun an internal investigation after it appears to have aired a misleadingly edited 911 call tape involving George Zimmerman, the Florida man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
The internal investigation was reported by The Washington Post.
The edited call, which aired on NBC's "Today Show" on March 27, featured Zimmerman talking to a 911 dispatcher.
"This guy looks like he's up to no good ... he looks black," Zimmerman said in the edited segment.
That, it turns out, appears to be only part of the exchange that took place on the night of February 26. The complete exchange went like this:
Zimmerman: "This guy looks like he's up to no good. Or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about."
Dispatcher: "OK, and this guy -- is he black, white or Hispanic?"
Zimmerman: "He looks black."
Well, Dateline rigged a GM truck to explode in an accident, it isn't like NBC has a lick of credibility anyway. Internal investigation? Whatever....
We're still missing key facts - who initiated contact and who initiated violence.
Of course there is no doubt. He was treated by EMT's and there was a report made. The known facts support Zimmerman's testimony. It isn't like Martin was dead at his doorstep because Zimmerman was following him.
That is more 9-11 editing. He stopped following and went back to his car. If he was at the front door of Martins, then it would be a problem with Zimmerman's version of events.
When so many things are not known, that is an ignorant position.
Even if yours is ultimately the correct one, doubt is the reasonable position at this point.

They also support a scenario where Zimmerman confronted Martin, accused him of being up to no good and threw in a racial slur, and as Martin got closer Zimmerman, who has a history of violence, panicked and pushed him. Martin, justifiably provoked, proceeded to beat the cwap out of Zimmerman. At which point the coward drew his gun and killed Martin.

It's also not like he was killed in front of Zimmerman's truck. It happened midway, which makes it possible for either of them to be the initiator of the confrontation.
