Depends on your level of fear, I suppose. Someone might have hit him, but he wasn't beaten up. But we already have a history on him; he resorts to violence when it's not necessary. So justification, in his mind was different than it might be for the rest of us.

Being 24 years old, I'm a bit more in tune with how this generation works and seriously., the kid was probably racist himself. I know how 'gangsters' go about white people, calling them 'white boys' and whatnot.
I think that is part of the reason why the whole racist thing made me mad. The media manufactured this lie and I'm glad that tape hushed them up finally. What a grand hypocrisy., welcome to America.

As for the incident, the man is bigger then the kid. For him to even get knocked to the pavement and get those injuries required an unexpected attack. In the scuffle, he reacted as his survival instinct demanded and shot him. That's all there is to it. If a cop can fire an entire clip of lead into a man coming at him with a knife from twenty feet away rather then hit him in a limb (true story, nobody cared), then what really is the problem here? The racist accusation is not the only thing people are being hypocritical about, clearly.
