THE LORD SHIP Of JESUS HIMSELF Refutes Arminianism! - March 29th, 2012, 10:18 AM

Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

The term "Free will" is nowhere to be found in the New Testament! For it is that very "freedom" in a fallen condemned nature to will anything independent of "THE WILL OF THE FATHER" , which CHRIST came to SET US FREE FROM "BY HIS SPIRIT"!

Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

The VOLITION which set's a man free hinge's upon IF THE SON shall make me free. Not the other false way around!

Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

These are not proof texts against free will theism.

Jesus had a will submitted to the Father. To deny this is to deny His personal being (will, intellect, emotions). We also have self-evident free will that can rebel or obey.

Without will, there is no moral responsibility, love, relationship, just deterministic causation, coercion, robotics.

Nope...That's what THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS FOR! Without HIM you could, and can do nothing "spiritual",but what is of your own flesh.

Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
This one passage of SCRIPTURE ALONE REFUTES ALL OF YOUR FALSE BELIEFS.

God also let Israel rebel and wander. His influence to restore or the persuasion, conviction, convincing to become an individual believer is not an argument for causation, coercion, determinism, denial of free will (which is problematic in that you must also attribute evil to a holy God).

GOD not willing evil BUT IN CONTROL OF IT FOR GOOD...is not evil.
Rev 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

Calvinistic, deterministic proof texting out of context is not persuasive.

God can and does mitigate evil and brings as much good as possible despite it, but He does not always control it, never causes/desires/intends it.

If God was meticulously controlling (vs providential control), there would be no rapes, murders, pedophilia, beheadings, etc.

www.opentheism.info for a more biblical, coherent worldview/theodicy.

Not true..."the wages of sin is death", no matter in what form it comes!
Heb_9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Job_14:5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
GOD'S WORD always refutes false philosophical reasoning's of men!
Deu_32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

You think that God creates mindless programed robots that cannot think for themselves.

Who do you think GOD is going to approve of. One who continuously glorifies the "Will" of GOD,or one who glorifies the will of dust??
