Mr. Oatmeal challenged me on this verse but
did not understand the verse properly.
=========================================
Jesus asks the Father to glorify Jesus with the Father's essence
and to give Jesus back the Glory that Jesus had before the world
was created.
Secondly, we are not Glorified yet, but honoured by Jesus
with his Holy spirit as potential God beings.
Ro 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint–heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
=====================================
John 17:5 "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self
with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."
----------------------------------------
Romans 8:30
"Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."
Where was our glorification before we got glorified?
We, as believers, were marked out beforehand, (predestinated) and as the sequence goes, we too are glorified.
Glorified, we are.
Glorified,
Quote:
God the Father " Glorified " Jesus and changed him back into a God
??God glorified us and changed us back into a God???
We need to slow down and take all the evidence into account.

Oatmeal posted another real turkey of a post. I have highlighted the ridiculous parts. And this guy claims to understand the Bible. I think he misplaced his brain somewhere.

I appreciate your opinion.
Yet you have nothing to refute it with but your opinion.
I am happy with my post.
So where was this glorification before God glorified us with it?
Jesus Christ's glorification was with God in the beginning. After all that is what the verse in question says.
John 17:5
"And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. "
Jesus Christ was glorified by the presence of God.
That reminds of
Genesis 15:1
"After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward."
God's himself would be Abraham's exceeding great reward.
Abraham's glorious reward would be God's active very presence in Abraham's life.
Just like Jesus Christ's. Acts 10:38
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth and God was with him.
"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers." Acts 2:42
"For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?" Psalm 6:5
Yet you have nothing to refute it with but your opinion.

You are just like G&P. You say the most ridiculous things, then you try to justify your ridiculous posts.
You cover your deception with a veneer of godliness, when in fact you have no understanding of who God is. Your dumb post reflects that. The Spirit of God is not in you. Your fruits make than painfully obvious. Even the Devil himself can quote scripture.
Matthew 7:15-19 -
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20 ESV
Ro 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint–heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Omega,
The translations which say that we are co-heirs together WITH Christ are wrong. The Greek literally says that we are heirs of God and heirs together of Christ.
Young's Literal Translation:
and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ -- if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together
God and Christ are our inheritance. Of course the anti-trinitarians don't want Christ. They just want the Father even though the apostle John EXPLICITLY said that they cannot have the Father without having the Son.
