So you either believe it's from God, holy and perfect, or you believe it's from men, resulting in questioning God at every turn.
you mean like this? Matthew 7:7
perhaps you can answer a question I posed in another thread of Guyvers.
Quote:
Jesus told his disciples he will send them the Spirit to bring to remembrance everything he has said, I wonder why that was, considering 99% of what he taught was directly from Torah, why wouldn't they just quote it from the LXX or whatever copies where floating about at the time?
keeping in mind they had copies of scripture older than anything still surviving today.....

Prove it.
And if you can't, have the stones to admit you're wrong. If you can't do that you are weak.

OK. Well, you did the same thing in post 2 of this thread. You made the claim that if someone doesn't believe the Bible to be inerrant they call God a liar and cannot be Christian.
I asked you to state where you get this idea and you have no answer. Now, since Satan is the accuser of the brethren and you have no scriptural basis for inerrancy, maybe you should rethink your position.
Saying the Bible is truth and saying it is inerrant are two different things. I believe the Bible is from God. I've already shown you that the Bible and the scriptures are two different things. The scriptures clearly existed before the Bible was written. You also can't even tell me which Bible is inerrant and there are literally dozens of different versions that don't say the exact same thing.
Was David from God? Was David inerrant?
Rhetorical. So, do you really want to say that something cannot be from God if it is not inerrant?

The Bible is a collection of ancient religious and historical writings
written and put together by many different individuals over an enormous span of time .
It is a collection of myths, legends, and allegories , as well as recountings of ancient middle eastern history of generally questionable accuracy . The Old Testament consists of an allegorical account of the creation of the universe and the world in Genesis which is unfortunately believed by countless people all over the world to be absolutely accurate and truthful , as well as stories of many legendary of whom there is absolutely no proof of ever having existed .
The New Testament consists of legends about a Jewish prophet named Yeshua who supposedly lived about 2,000 years ago in ancient Palestine under the yoke of Roman occipation , and who was supposedly the son of God by a virgin girl there who was miraculously impregnated by the Lord, was born in a manger, became a traveling preacher , fell afoul of the Roman authorities and was supposedly crucufied in order to pay for the sins of all mankind , at least those who believe in this myth , and who miraculously rose from the dead after his cricifixion .
You argree Jesus is not God. That right there ends the debate.
This whole thread, where you argue against the fact that Jesus died for your sin in your place. He exchanged his perfect life for your rotten no good life.

It's not that a person loses their salvation for sinning after being saved. It's about a relationship that's based on humility and complete dependence upon the Lord. That includes remaining in fellowship with Him. If someone thinks that they may continue in sin without repentance and their spiritual relationship with the Lord not suffer, they are deceived.
You reaffirm that a person comes under bondage again from sin. I can go on and on and on. And you know it. Your challenge to post it is ridiculous.
Below you add to the gospel, which Paul says is a false gospel and outside the faith.

You're right. It takes God in us to produce the fruit of the Spirit - which is love.
A branch, detached from the vine cannot produce fruit, it withers and dies. Jesus said for us to abide in him and let his words abide in us. He makes it clear that when we are branches attached to him we will bear fruit. And the main fruit is love. Love for God, and love for everyone else also.
From the perspective of a parent, you must know that there is nothing more ugly than to see brothers fighting and hating each other.
Luke 7:47 "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."
Which by the way, is circumcision. Which makes perfect sense in your works based belief system.

if u are trying to say that the Bible cannot be believed, and i know u r...
forget it
the world is a better place because of this religion even if what u say is true... (but i know what you say is NOT)
as someone once said If God did not exit it would be necessary to invent Him..

Because it sounds like what you're saying is that you hold your own religious beliefs above truth.
I kindof have a different opinion. I think truth should be the basis of all religious beliefs.
So, if some zealous religious scribe inserted the word Disneyland (a place that didn't even exist until 600 years after the Bible was written) in place of "heaven" ..... that would be an error.
I would not be able to call the version of the Bible that contains the word Disneyland inerrant. You would. I guess that's the difference.

Your argument is sad. Anyone who puts the word Disneyland in the bible would be thrown out and rejected. It's absurd to even suggest.
How do you decide that I hold my own religious beliefs above truth?

What do you mean the argument is sad? It's exactly parallel to the insertion of a Latin word in the text of Isaiah. It's literally the same thing. How is that sad?
I said you hold your own religious beliefs above truth because you could not substantiate two false doctrines that you hold.
1. Inerrancy
2. That believe in inerrancy is necessary for salvation.
