Communism and socialism (in a traditional sense) are to the left of centre in my 'view'. I don't view politics in absolute black and white either though so it depends. Outright dictators like Stalin were fascists as were Hitler/Mussolini etc. Neither "side" is immune from nutters or extremism Doc.

Ok, so if I am understanding you correctly, even Stalin was a fascist?
I hate to break it to the peeps, but your chances of being killed or wounded in a terrorist incident are so close to zero that they might as well be zero. Worry far more about slipping in the tub.

Yes! I thought I'd been clear enough on that already?! Fascism isn't exclusive to any one particular branch of politics dude. Do you recall me saying I hate extremism of any sort be it 'left' or 'right'?

That's great AB, I share your thought there, the difference is where we make our center line obviously.

Frank, pointing out differences in cultural usage of the term isn't the same as 'promoting' a racist ideology. Personally I don't find it that surprising that an ethnic slur is ironically turned into something else by those who suffered from prejudiced ignorance in one aspect. If you conflate that with support for any black extremist groups then you're just missing the context (again)
And you contradicted yourself -- again.
Quote:
Oh. In that case you must have some mindless "need" to keep defending yourself then Frank going by your own 'logic' there. The people I accuse of being racists are the ones who make dumb braindead remarks along the lines of how other races 'smell bad' and how they're unlikely to have a soul. Oh, is that unfair of me?
Yes, it is, and beside the point as well. What I recognize is that what is "fair" for you may not be fair for someone else. It's the ol' time liberal hypocrisy masquerading as equity.
Quote:
Ok, I'm assuming 'cracker' is an American term as I'm unfamiliar with it. Though running with the ideal then there's plenty names that friends use which would be derogatory besides race if used by strangers so what's your point? Would you call a black man the 'n' word if you weren't sure he'd take it in good humour?
"Cracker" is a derogatory racial slur used by some blacks. They stopped using it when we whiteys started laughing at the obvious attempt at provocation.

Pfffft. If some crank is gonna make pathetic remarks about how folk of a different coloured skin to his own 'smell bad' then it's fair game to describe him as racist (and plenty more besides) If that ain't 'fair' to you then carry on the tired ol 'liberal' deflective crap dude. Or just post one of your usual smileys and pretend that counts as an argument....

The 'n' word is a derogatory racial slur used by some whites. So there you go Frank.
I believe it goes with the territory of being a left-wing liberal extremist.

Ok. (no pretense involved. I am sincerely laughing at you.)

It is also used as a derogatory racial slur by some blacks. Of course, being dulled by left-wing extremist identity politics, I would not expect you to know that.

Oh, good for you then. Totally irrelevant to anything I'm arguing for/about but ho hum....

Meh, being laughed at by folk who think referring to races in the terms set out by BB is acceptable, be it in ignorant prejudice or race baiting fashion, means squat to me.

It can be yes, of course if you were to actually engage with some sincerity on the topic you wouldn't presume that I wasn't already aware of that also. Anyone who knows me knows what I think of extremism of any political stripe.

Yes, what you are arguing for is usually irrelevant.

How did BillyBob get involved? Trying a diversion to cover yourself? Typical left-wing extremist tactic.

I know what you SAY you think of it. Of course, accusing your opposition of insincerity, while displaying same, is another left-wing extremist tactic.

Aye, thanks captain cheap soundbite. What exactly was your 'point/argument' when entering the thread Frank?

Whaddya mean 'how did he get involved'?! He started the bloody thread! After his usual race baiting schtick in another (where another poster exposed his asinine comments regarding Mexicans and blacks) he decided to create this one. Have you even read the thing?
Just what 'diversionary' tactic am I attempting Frank? Please do explain.

You were insincere enough to make daft presumptions that A: I wasn't aware that blacks using the term couldn't be racist, and B: The reason why I wouldn't be aware of that would be due to being 'dulled by left wing extremist politics'. Neither had any grounding in fact so what you're accusing me of ironically actually applies to you.

Engaging in conversation with you. I agree that turned out to be pointless.

Sure have. Clearly defined the hypocrisy and deception of left-wing extremists, such as yourself.

All the blabbler about how you are such a wonderful "centrist" in a sea of right-wing extremists.

Gotta love irony....
And we have the stinging "tu quoque" rebuke.
