SEALs slam Obama for using them for political purposes - May 1st, 2012, 06:03 AM

[SEALs slam Obama for using them as 'ammunition' in bid to take credit for bin Laden killing during election campaign by Toby Harnden] "Serving and former US Navy SEALs have slammed President Barack Obama for taking the credit for killing Osama bin Laden and accused him of using Special Forces operators as ‘ammunition’ for his re-election campaign.

The SEALs spoke out to MailOnline after the Obama campaign released an ad entitled ‘One Chance’.

In it President Bill Clinton is featured saying that Mr Obama took ‘the harder and the more honourable path’ in ordering that bin Laden be killed. The words ‘Which path would Mitt Romney have taken?’ are then displayed.

Besides the ad, the White House is marking the first anniversary of the SEAL Team Six raid that killed bin Laden inside his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan with a series of briefings and an NBC interview in the Situation Room designed to highlight the ‘gutsy call’ made by the President..." The president must say, "YES ! it's a go", before such action is taken. We should give him credit for saying, "YES !".

Right?

What if he said, "NO!"?

Killing OBL was a no-brainer. Why is Obama trying to take credit for the efforts of others who were in harm's way?

Every President is a commander in chief whether they like it or not. Doesn't matter who it is so the law is that the current President commands with a "yes" or a "no".

What really bothers me is that the Republicans are trying to turn America into Syria where leaders can't control their military.

Some don't get the meaning of "Most Votes" wins.

That is right.. those with no brains killed OBL... 20-30 years now after we look back and see how that one point in time mobilized and emboldened Al-Q we will see just how stupid it was.

The best thing that Obama could have done was just make him disappear and not say a single thing about it.. just make OBL vanish.. and leave no clues to the Islamists as to what happened with him.

But we had the botched raid instead.. were a top secret helicopter went down, wasn't destroyed totally, and the Paki's let the Chinese examine it.

Stupidest thing ever....

They weren't already mobilized? They weren't already emboldened? Where do Muslims live peacefully with their neighbors?

America has no values... so that book is one waste of paper.

Sure there is the facade that our politicians pass off as our values, but the real value our government adheres to is money.

All of our overseas interventions have been to protect our business interests.. not our values.

When we look back, we'll see that Bush really did tick off the Middle East and the democrats had to fix it. Thanks to Obama!
Bush smashed the new alternative energy cars so the oil companies can greedly live.

Nah.. the democrats are fixing nothing.. they are continuing on with the same policies (our troops are still in the middle east aren't they?)

I honestly believe that if the world trade center had been hit during Obama's presidency, little if anything would have transpired differently. We would have retaliated against Afghanistan and eventually we would have ended up in Iraq anyhow.

Not to mention that electric cars are demonstrably worse for the environment than gas cars.. the difference is on the front and back ends (The cars are more costly on the environment to make and dispose of)

Rather, some unnamed SEALS, likely ones who have another candidate in mind, have taken anonymously courageous shots at the President's campaign.

How many feel this way? Well, at least two--if you believe the source.

Additional information found in the article:
Quote:
A serving SEAL Team member said: ‘Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun.
Clearing up any potential confusion on that point.

He goes on to declare--
Quote:
As president, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this.
Which the unknown warrior acknowledges--

Quote:
He does so in his official speeches
But, giving us a peek into the reality of rumored PSY--corps development--

Quote:
because he speechwriters are smart.
Unlike, apparently, either the editor of this piece of...journalism, or the quote source.

Next week: surviving WWII soldiers set the world straight on who really won that war.

Snippet: "FDR couldn't the broad side of a barn with a standard issue carbine BEFORE he was wheel chair bound!"

Additional revelations include the hitherto unknown fact (unknown to the editorial desk at Mail Online) that "Give'em hell" Harry Truman was, at some point, a member of the Klan! And also failed to carry a weapon during WWII.

Is that your take on it? Real heroes don't boast. I can't think of any characteristics that Obama shares with our Navy SEALs.

That is my take on it.. no matter who we vote in, things will be basically the same, just with different spin.

The non-elected Washington establishment has been running the show for quite a long time now.

Just look at the healthcare bill... its the biggest expansion of civil service jobs in decades.

You get to choose between a beast from the sea (Re 13:1) or a beast from the earth (Re 13:11).

Which political button will you be wearing?

Everything from the American Revolution onward has been about protecting "business interests".

Who do you think pushed for the rebellion against George III? People who saw that there were profits to be made by doing so.

Gutsy call? What about killing that slime ball was gutsy? They make it sound like it was controversial or something.
