My step-mom's life was given back to her by an organ donor. For a condition she had been born with. So take an angry jump into the depths of Ignorance Lake. It was a very long and tough process: the years-long wait, the massive operation, the ongoing, never-ending recovery, the costs (in great part donated by the medical center). It's a truly remarkable thing to have experienced and gone through.
I don't really understand your "point(s)" in your post, but Russia, "death panels," or race were never an issue.
