it is often (no usually)

WORK to

not only KNOW the truth (meanng absolute truth)

but also to DO the truth

example..

christains would agree that Jesus said to love ot hers as yourwself...

but how many people DO this???

reminds me of that joke

priest who has lost his vision

another asks: Why are you so blind?

"I strained my eyes trying to see Jesus in people"

i can totally relate...

but whether they always ACT like Jesus or not... we are rquired to love them... not LIKE them, not agree wtih them, but love them...

that being said

we must OFTEN love them from a distance...

since they will not necessarily love back... no, not hardly

some ppl would just as soon kill u as look @ you

and some of those ppl call themselve Christian...

Take this test greenman without getting too grumpy and then I will give you a little bit more.
To whom is this directed? Who is this "greenman"?

true false
1 T King Saul died?
2 F King Saul died of old age?
3 F King Saul died of cancer?
4 F King Saul died of a broken heart?
5 F King Saul died helping a little old lady cross the street, (run over by a car)?
6 T King Saul died of war wounds?

Do you see that greenman? Here let me interpret what the answers to the quiz actually mean-

King Saul was mortally wounded. That is what killed him. He died of a mortal wound.

Now there is another quiz for you to take greenman. Don't procrastinate. Or you will be disqualified. Then all your name calling and fit throwing will have been wasted.

Quiz 2 for the greenman-
Question one
True False
1_ Did King Saul commit a sin that called for capital punishment?
Question two
True False
1_ greenman, do you think God is impotent?
This is why you should make it clear to whom you are referring, for this "greenman" obviously did not know you meant him, else he may have responded. Either that or he was not on TOL within the time frame between the first post and the second.

No, all you did was provide verses that don't show there to be such a thing as "mortal sin" according to the RCC definition. The only thing you have provided are the RCC writings that insist they are correct with no other support to their position.

Not only did King Saul commit one capital crime he committed several. I will list but two-
1 King Saul visited a familiar spirit.
2 King Saul dressed in the uniform of the enemy as a spy and was caught by the enemy redhanded.
For any one of these crimes King Saul could have been executed on the spot without the right to a trial. The problem with a guy like King Saul is that no one in Israel had the power to meet out the punishment.

You see greenman, the nation Israel was impotent. They were rendered impotent because of their own mortal wound.

King Saul died of a mortal wound without a savior. Do you know what that means greenman?

The Hebrews also have been mortally wounded and they also will die without a savior.
And, again, you did not get a response from whomever you were trying to engage.

Next time follow these two easy steps:
  1. Address the post to the person by the name they use on the site.
  2. Make sure you do not jump the gun and post as though they have had a chance to respond when they have shown no sign of being on TOL within the time frame.

Now now greenman. I asked you not to throw another fit. You are out of control once again.

glew is not giving RCC anything. He is simply testing. What glew has found is that RCC mortal sin doctrine is OT doctrine. The Lord has told us how foolish it is to try and put "New Wine into old wine skins". Here WorkSetsFree tries to put the old wine into the New Wine skins. Basically WorkSetsFree can get away with that at TOL because TOL tries to do the very same thing. TOL thinks it can take Our Lord and put Him into the OT. That is simply not going to happen. The book of Hebrews has Jesus outside the camp. He will stay there.

The secret to WorkSetsFree's religeous/political success has been through misdirection. (TOL should take note of this. As soon as two or three are gathered then there is a church and the battle lines are immediately drawn, it does not matter if the weapons used are arrows or electrons.) The main temptation for the Church as a group is backsliding. When Christians form groups the tendency is to broaden. After broadening then you have inclusion. Inclusion leads naturally to exclusion, (exclusion of the protester). What is left after the exclusion is Revelation 17. At the very least, TOL has its feet wet. (I expect TOL will be crushed voluntarily. Would this be a fulfillment of WorkSetsFree? Yes. TOL will voluntarily go back to the old ways. And the old ways will be there waiting with chains in hand.)

It is ok greenman. I know you meant "paste" and not "past". But I did eat too much "past" in grade school. In my grade school years I was fed all the little OT stories that you are so proud of. I was fed and fed and I ate and ate till my little belly just couldn't hold any more. Then greenman I grew up. And I started to search the OT for Jesus my Savior. And you know what I found in the OT greenman? Nothing. Jesus is not in the OT. Oh moral code/sin/etc is in the OT just like RCC and Judaism likes to point out. But Jesus just is not there. If He is in the OT greenman then-

Flex those big green muscles and show me. That is if you think you can stick with glew. Otherwise be quite greenman.

Without context, your post does not communicate to me.

would you mind providing some context?

Oh greenman you are easy to figure out. Name calling and fit throwing. With absolutely no content. (And you call me a fool.) The reason that you don't understand my postings is because I am not using TOL speak. Once you start using TOL speak no other language is able to penetrate the shell around the person's brain that uses TOL speak, (money helps though). A while back I started using Egyptian hieroglyphics. Maybe I'll go back to that? (I agree with you greenman, "hieroglyphics" is a big word.)

OK, now this here post is in pseudo-TOL speak.

The RCC mortal sin mentioned by TruthSetsFree is definitely in the Old Testament. I can give you example after example. And plenty of verses. The mortal sin is also in the New Testament. But it is not part of the New Testament.

Now I am going to stop with the pseudo-TOL speak.

The mortal sin deal that WorkSetsFree is offering you TOL-ites is OT doctrine. You love OT doctrine and WorkSetsFree knows this. You will take it and be thankful.
