Central Error of Mainstream Churches -
May 4th, 2012, 07:37 AM
It is their most favorite and cheap salvation of "you dont have be obedient to Jesus to be saved" or "Jesus dies for our sins we cannot sin or do not sin".
This is gross error and grave sin to spread to the world. This is their churches not to having have power to be godly witnesses or godly representatives for Jesus.
Jesus commands us that "if you love Me, keep My commandments". This is the central therm of Christianity.
If we dont love Jesus' there is no salvation. Loving Jesus is to keep His commandments.
Readers,
To understand Jesus' gospel, you have to read what Jesus has to say about it; Jesus explains it simply and clearly in the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus tells us to be holy, righteous, godly and pure in heart. There is no room for hypocrisy in His teachings.
I urge everyone to read what He has to say about His most noble and righteous teachings in the world.
Also if you pay attention you will notice the only scripture people use from jesus is the scripture on divorce and remarraige as a bat to hit people with, all the other scriputre that the church uses to abuse people is from PAUL and NOT Jesus.
Also the scripture of Jesus talking about divorce was to put the pharisies in their place, he was not addressing lay people in hard situations, in fact the woman at the well he did not even condemn of sin, hard core legalists MUST resort to Pauls scriptures NOT Jesus in order to put their hands around your throat.

Divorce and remarriage is one of corrupt practice that is condoned by mainstream churches.

meshak,
You have said I am mainstream and that you don't accept Paul's words. You should accept what Jesus has to say.
Untellectual
Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deuteronomy 10:13 (KJV) To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

thanks.
I don't know what the right thing to say is in this situation.
Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He is the Son of God, Prophet, and the Messiah.
If you will not listen to Paul, you should listen to Jesus. But Paul, in my understanding, does not contradict anything Jesus has said.
You perceive me to be your enemy.
Because I have told you the truth.
Salvation is not of works. It bears repeating, and this is a new setting so it must be said.
We are to obey Jesus. He is Lord.
He has saved us from our sins, as Savior. Where do we have forgiveness of sins? Is it in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection? Namely His death? You seem to deny this, in order to preach works/obedience for salvation, claiming that this is what Jesus has said. I don't believe that.
I believe God's commands drive us to our end if we are not saved. And there we find Christ and forgiveness. Repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
Does that clear up my position for you?

My understanding was that you were coming to me, bringing a fault of mine.
My inbox is no longer full.
You can respond to my post or pm, whichever you like.

I am sorry for hurting your feelings in TOL threads.
I think you are more concerned about the gospel though, and for that you should be commended.
And still, we seem to have disagreement.

I know its so evil when someone has an unfortunate life event like a divorce and they want to move on with life, be happy and remarry, such moral depravity and corruption lol.
