You do know that Jefferson created his own bible, called the Jefferson Bible, where he removed pretty much all the supernatural elements of the Bible? Jefferson also removed parts of the Gospels that he felt were errors on the part of the Gospel writers.

One mistake people commonly make when looking at a historical figure is to assume their thoughts were static, never changing or developing. Jefferson likely started as a Unitarian drifting to Deism and finally drifting all the way to Atheism by the time of Presidency and the production of the Jefferson Bible. In his public speeches he would certainly still make vague references to a deity, but this has far more to do with simply using the common vernacular of the times than providing any evidence of personal beliefs.

Not true what? That Jefferson didn't remove all of the supernatural elements of the Gospels? That IS true. Jefferson even removed the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jefferson was NOT a orthodox Christian by any means. This is common knowledge. You do not know this?

It's called "The Jefferson Bible" at the top. Imagine that.

Jefferson was a Deist, not a Christian. I recommend the following excellent text:
"The very tradition, teaching, & faith of the Catholic Church from the beginning was preached by the Apostles & preserved by the Fathers. On this the Church was founded..." ~ St. Athanasius (4th cent.)
... finally drifting all the way to Atheism ...the Jefferson Bible...he [made] references to a deity, but this has far more to do with simply using the common vernacular of the times than providing any evidence of personal beliefs.
Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, forever. Amen. -Ephesians 3:20 & 21
1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult, I set aside childish ways. - Let's at least work at it?

Here's some more information on Thomas Jefferson and "The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth":
An interesting side note:
"Whereas beginning in 1904 and continuing for the next half-century, the Federal government printed and distributed The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth for the use of Members of Congress because of the important teachings it contained;..." http://www.wallbuilders.com/download.../H.Res.888.pdf
And from Angelfire.com:
"Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter to William Canby, "Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern, which have come under my observation, none appear to me so pure as that of Jesus." He described his own compilation to Charles Thomson as "a paradigma of his doctrines, made by cutting the texts out of the book and arranging them on the pages of a blank book, in a certain order of time or subject. A more beautiful or precious morsel of ethics I have never seen." He told John Adams that he was rescuing the Philosophy of Jesus and the "pure principles which he taught," from the "artificial vestments in which they have been muffled by priests, who have travestied them into various forms as instruments of riches and power for themselves." After having selected from the evangelists "the very words only of Jesus," he believed "there will be found remaining the most sublime and benevolent code of morals which has ever been offered to man." http://www.angelfire.com/co/Jefferso.../jeffintr.html
As David Barton pointed out in the above video, Thomas Jefferson wasn't questioning the divinity of Jesus, he purely wanted to point out how great a moral code that He presented.
