What is the church of God? -

That should be easy enough. What is the church of God?
Jesus Christ showed His disciples how to follow God as a dear child.
Jesus Christ sent His disciples to teach the nations how to follow God as dear children.
Following God as a dear child will teach you all the theology you need.
SomeTiltedPerson tried to win an argument by saying the BOC and the church of God were different theological entities.

Slogan/motto:
2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Arguments aren't important.
I want you to stop perverting the gospel of the grace of God.
1. Land forever. Gen 17:8 (KJV)
2. City FROM heaven. Rev 21:2 (KJV)
3. Heavenly places. Eph 2:6-7(KJV)
Don't mix them, leavening the whole household of God. Luke 13:21 (KJV)
The church is made up of the poor, the foolish, the weak, people who fled to God for mercy and refuge. This has been the only church there ever was in the earth since Abel.
God loves His church, He rules this world through her and on her behalf, woe to anybody who despises God's church.
Jesus showed the church as a mustard seed which grew into the greatest tree in whose branches the fowls of the air found refuge...so she has been during 2, 000 years. Let christians clean up their mouths concerning the church, never be derogatory of her [that does not mean we should not criticize] but love her and remember she is made up of frail brothers and sisters like yourselves.

Many are called but few are chosen and the term used for church in the original languages means being called.
In the end God separates the goats from the sheep, yet goats are also clean animals. The wise virgins were welcomed while the foolish ones were turned away, yet they were all virgins symbolizing they had been set apart as in called but not all were chosen.
God always prepares a remnant and although he loved Jacob, he hated Esau who was Jacob's brother.
Blessings

I wish I could get you to see that God has set Himself to save MANY and many, many, WILL be saved. "Many are called but few are chosen" refers to the call to discipleship not to salvation. If parables like the virgins be properly understood it can be shown that the virgins [whether wise or foolish] cannot be the church. The church is the BRIDE of Christ, how then can the bridal attendants also be the bride?.
Nor can the sheep and goats be the church for they are both judged by how they ministerd or failed to minister to "the least of one these My brethren."
I do believe that the wicked will be turned into hell, I am not denying the doctrine of eternal punishment, I also believe they will fully deserve to be punished, but the devil is never going to be in a majority in that day. BELIEVE in God, believe in His mercy.
When you read those hard and difficult scriptures do pray and ask God if He will show you His mercy in those things, His mercy is wider than is generally supposed.
Dear STP,
A perverter of that gospel is known as he presents arguments the strength of which are destroyed by the words of men like Paul.
Now. Care to speak on this topic, STP? We're discussing the identity of the church of God.
Jesus Christ showed His disciples how to follow God as a dear child.
Jesus Christ sent His disciples to teach the nations how to follow God as dear children.
Following God as a dear child will teach you all the theology you need.
Slogan/motto:
Being led into relationships by urgings of love which arise and are sustained naturally and spontaneously within my heart, is always 'God-righteous' even if I have to transgress the Ten Commandments.

Jesus established two churches under two different gospels. The gospel of circumcision was commissioned onto Peter. The gospel of un-circumcision was commissioned onto Paul.
One church was and is under Satan. Jesus sent people to his Satanic church so that they might stop their blaspheming ways and so that their spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (re. 1 Corinthians: 5 verse: 5 and 1 Timothy: 1 verse: 20) These followers are children of the flesh. This is the church of Satan. This church was commissioned onto Peter.
Jesus clearly identified Peter to be Satan. And Jesus appointed Satan/Peter to a church because he needed to sent people there so that they might stop their blaspheming ways and so that their spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (re. 1 Corinthians: 5 verse: 5 and 1 Timothy: 1 verse: 20).
The other church was and is under the Spirit of Jesus. Here Jesus sent those who seek to follow Him in the regeneration. These followers are children of God, i.e. Christians. This is the church of God. This church was commissioned onto Paul. Paul was led by the Spirit of Jesus after Jesus physically left those precincts.
