A question for Robert Pate -

Mr. Pate I have a question for you. On your website you detail your conversion experience. You say the following:
Quote:
One Saturday morning (before he was fired) at the men’s prayer meeting the pastor passed out some literature that had been written by a Christian scholar in Australia. The focus of this literature was the historical gospel and what this gospel calls into question. The pastor said “I want you men to take this literature home read it and tell me what you think about it”. This was the first time that I was exposed to the gospel that is in the bible that was taught by the apostles. Later that evening I called the pastor and we discussed what was in the literature. Our eyes were beginning to open to the truth of the gospel. The Christian scholar in Australia also published a magazine where he and other scholars discussed theological issues. The circulation was world wide and was mostly directed to ministers. I have all of their publications, which is a stack about two feet high. Some of the scholars would come to the USA and hold seminars where they would teach the gospel and all that it calls into question. These seminars were never held in churches but were held in hotel meeting rooms.
Your problem is not technology. The problem is YOU. You lack the will to change...You treat this planet as you treat each other. - Klaatu
What are you talking about? There is no such thing as the "Mafia"......it doesn't exist. Just a bunch of lies told to defame honest hardworking Italians like myself. - TomO
I will do you, let's see, goofy, wacky, and to the left side of the bell curve. -Ktoyou
I'm white. I'm not black. I can't convert to being black. It doesn't matter how much I want to become black. I could listen to rap and date fat white women all day; for all that, I'll still remain white.- Traditio

Who is this Christian scholar from Australia?
His name is... Robert D. Brinsmead. He owns an exotic fruit farm in Australia. He is now 79 years old. He is retired. But still does some writting.
His first publication back in the early 70's was called "Present Truth" later that was changed to "Verdict" There was also another writer, his name was Geoffrey Paxton. Actually, there were many, many, writers that participated in the magazine, most of them were Christian scholars.
The publication was directed to pastors and seminary teachers throughout the world. The focus was the "Historical Gospel" of Jesus Christ and all that it calls into question, which is religion.
When I first started reading the publication I was a Pentecostal. "The Chief of all Pharisees" Brinsmead's publication helped me to see the error of my ways. I am forever indebted to the man who helped me to see the "Glorious Gospel" of our Lord Jesus Christ and all that it calls into question. I think that he will go down as one of the leading theologians of our day.
If you would like to know more about "Verdict" or Robert D. Brinsmead, google his name.
The guy is all over the place, can't quite determine what he believes about Scripture, the Christian faith, add his mean spirited personality and dogmatism, you've mixed a pot of craziness, on par with the Jesus Seminar, a self styled & self appointed expert - explains Pate's philosophy and approach to some degree.
One has to be seriously Pinheaded & newsless to Espouse & affirm OT Nonsensical tommyrot!
