Discovered this late in the day (the LOTR episode) and wished I hadn't missed it. Well written and entertaining.
Wasn't sure what I thought of it. The lead reminded me of the second Superman actor, but he got better and whoever the fellow is that plays the wolf (whatever they call it) and the real partnership between him and the Grimm got me hooked. They just need to get rid of his police partner or make him engaged and interesting, poor doofus.
Only watched because the wife made me and thought it was so-so at first. The show has gotten better by episode. And while I'm still rooting against Charming Robert Carlyle's "Mr. Gold" keeps me interested. I think he gives the show a great deal of its emotional credibility.
A great idea and a fine actor, but the writers let both down. When I realized the "big secret" that had his captain under thumb was a drug deal and not some over arching reveal that would tie the two worlds in his head together/explanation I left the show.
Brilliant, but too often sad and lost for me.
I almost hate this show as much as I like it. But I'm watching.
Couldn't follow it. The male lead was written like a dumber version of Sealy Booth from Bones and the female lead had two facial expressions for most of the first season. That was enough for me.
One of those shows I've watched but always felt a bit embarrassed about watching.

Jo and Carter are the show for me and always have been. I think the late in the day twist on them is making the finale a bit more interesting.
I liked it, but is it coming back? More potential than realized so far. Fine casting.
Loved the first few seasons but struggled the last one. It needs a resolution of that first thin plot thread and a move into something else or I'm through with it.
One of my favorite off mainstream channels show. I don't know when it's coming back or when. Great chemistry between the two leads, but I hope they don't make the romantic will they/won't they important to the show.

I quit watching many shows within the last year, because they were formulaic and tired, or for other reasons; CSI [all 3], NCIS [both], House, Law & Order [all 3 that were on at the time], Criminal Minds...
|
Gave up Criminal minds because of the way the show dealt with two of its leads AND I got tired of the show's habit of killing off a few innocent people after we got the point. Just too dark in that regard. The first murder clued us, thanks.
I tried watching Person of Interest, Veep, Girls, and a few others, but didn't like them enough to keep going.

I watched some shows that got cancelled after one season, this year, like Alcatraz, and The Finder. I enjoyed them both very much.

Never saw Alcatraz, but the Finder's casting didn't work for me.

I also watch Dexter, and have read all the books.

Had an idea for a novel I talked about for over twenty years. A serial killer who kills serial killers. When Dexter came out I got a great number of phone calls asking if I had a new pen name.

Well, my idea won't be as novel now, but I'll still write it before long, now that I'm writing. But it still gives me an enormous pain.

What did you think was out of character?

What happened or appears to have happened to the father. Huge mistake if there isn't an out.
