Preserve Marriage Washington -
May 25th, 2012, 07:16 AM
As we near the number of signatures needed to put this very important issue on the November ballot (a huge thanks to those Washingtonians that had the backbone to sign the petition) I'll be monitoring the media and other sources showing the harassment/death threats by the sodomites, and the biased reporting by the government run media.
If you really wanted to preserve marriage as the religious bonding that you imagine it to be, you should be petitioning Washington to get out of the marriage business all together.
If people want to make a legal contract with each other, let them go to a lawyer and write it up. If they want a "holy union", let them go to their church and perform the required ritual. If they want to do both, let them do both. But if you want to use the power of government to punish people for having sex outside your own moral parameters, you are going to be disappointed, sooner or later. Because that isn't what the power of government is for in this country.
If you want to protect the sanctity of "holy matrimony", then you need to get the government out of it all together.
But I suspect that isn't really what you want. I think what you really want is to use the power of government to punish anyone who has a different moral standard than you. And for that, you should lose your citizenship, because you have shown that you hate freedom, you hate equality, and don't want justice for all. You are seeking to deny these to your fellow Americans and that makes you are a traitor to the ideals that this country holds dearest.

Who said anything about marriage only being a "religious bonding"?
The state has a compelling interest in the traditional family.

Thank you for being honest, we need more of that type of honesty from homosexualists like yourself ("If you speak out against perversion, you WILL be charged with a hate crime and either be imprisoned or deported").
When time permits in the next few days, I'll be starting a thread challenging Ralphie (when I call him Wizard of Oz, it reminds me too much of that homosexual pedophile Michael Jackson from the movie "The Wiz") to a debate showing that homosexuality MUST be recriminalized here in the US. It will go into great detail showing the history of the modern day homosexual movement and their agenda.
While this debate will be directed towards Ralphie, who is a strong proponent of keeping homosexuality decriminalized, other homosexualists such as you and Ralphie's boyfriend from England are more than welcome to join in.
Stay tuned.

No, it doesn't. The state has no business whatever with how we decide to pair-bond. It's only YOU who thinks it matters to anyone but the people doing the bonding. It's only YOU who imagines that the purpose of government is to secure and enforce your own bigoted moral imperatives.
But if you want to use the power of government to punish people for having sex outside your own moral parameters, you are going to be disappointed, sooner or later. Because that isn't what the power of government is for in this country.
I'm sorry, this is ignorant. Such laws 'force' institutions to accomodate against their own values and beliefs, thus ruining separation of church and state, where church also stands for individual's rights to pursue 'happiness' as guaranteed in the Constitution. 1% of the population is infringing upon the rights of all others, demanding, suing, and shoving a very minority concern in our collective faces.
Next on the agenda will be rights for marrying your dog and you having no say so to keep 'pets' out of your hotel or restaurant, no say in keeping that disruptive yip out of church, and no say in keeping canine public displays of affection out of your park.
Don't worry, right now you are disgusted, with the right agenda over 30 years, you'll come to accept it as right and proper regardless of the percentages.
Please, anybody. Have just one (1) scruple and guaranteed the right of others to have them?

Sure, and the sky will fall and the world will end, just like it did when we let black people and women demand their rights.

Sorry dude, but you bigots are dying out, and the next generation doesn't care about this stuff. In fact, it's because you know your days of social dominance are numbered that you're so desperately frightened in the first place.

Let's pretend for a moment that you believed in God. Let's pretend that you believed what is in the Bible and what the role of government is:
Roman's 13:4
"For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil."
So it is God that ordained the civil magistrate to do good. By doing good, the civil magistrate would criminalized sexual deviancy, which it had done up until a decade ago, and would encourage healthy relationships, specifically marriage between one man and one woman.
So in essence PureX, you're proposing that those that should be incarcerated in either a penal or mental institution for their crimes against nature, should be allowed to partake in an institution that is the nucleus of civilization.
We'll go deeper into this when I get around to my upcoming thread:
"Why homosexuality MUST be recriminalized".

Since 2001, ten countries have begun allowing same-sex couples to marry nationwide: Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, and Sweden. Same-sex marriages are also performed and recognized in Mexico City and parts of the United States.
Some jurisdictions that do not perform same-sex marriages recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere: Israel, the Caribbean countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, parts of the United States, and all states of Mexico. Australia recognises same-sex marriages only by one partner changing their sex after marriage.
As of 2012, proposals exist to introduce same-sex marriage in at least ten other countries.
Faith based groups are entitled to their own beliefs BUT its not the role of a democratic government to determine which of its consenting adults/citizens have/don't have the right to be married - based on their sexual orientation.
Given that the government already recognizes that atheists and agnostics have the right to marry as long as they're heterosexuals - it can hardly be claimed that the right to have one's marriage recognized by the state is based on religious and/or moral considerations.
For the first time (2011) in the history of Gallup polling, a majority of Americans (53%) indicated that same-sex marriage should be recognized as having the same rights as traditional marriages.

Ah, er... according to you, aren't pediphiles?
For me, nope, neither are regular american citizens, just like that weirdo on obsessed who thinks he's in love with his car. <--not regular

Jesus said as much: Matthew 24:24
If this prediction comes right then Luke 17:2
Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, forever. Amen. -Ephesians 3:20 & 21

It's important that we remember and understand that freedom requires sacrifice, and vigilance. It requires not only the sacrifice of establishing and defending our right to live as free human beings, but it also requires that we sacrifice our desire to control and oppress our fellow human beings. Being free isn't just about us, and what we believe, and what we think is good and right. It's about allowing other people to decide for themselves what is good and right, and to live accordingly, even when we don't agree with their choices or their lifestyle.
Once again this Memorial Day we'll see Christians all over America mooning over the heroic soldiers who have sacrificed their lives to establish, protect, and defend our freedom. And yet all the while they will actively seek to destroy the fundamental governing processes of the nation they profess to love so much as they struggle to deny the very freedom they pretend to value, of their fellow citizens.
It's easy to spout off platitudes about freedom, equality, justice, and sacrifice. But for many modern Christians, it's just a bunch of pretty words and phony idealism. In actual fact they abhor the freedom of others and are actively seeking to undermine it and put a stop to it. They have determined that their own moral imperatives are more important to them than the freedom of any fellow citizen who dares to disagree.

Same arguments. Which is why the people who claim to "defend traditional marriage" are bringing it down. When it became untenable to hate black people openly, the focus of the right went to homosexuals.
The result of all that frantic rhetoric and hate? For the first time in American history, a majority of Americans are O.K. with same-sex marriage.
Thanks a lot, guys. If you had been just a little less of a pack of screamers, civil unions with all the benefits of marriage might have been the way. Now, we're going to have guys marrying guys. And don't kid yourself. It's coming everywhere.
