I don't get it... ppl saying that Churches start wars...

are these ppl on dope or something?

should we... uh... go back to Prohibitioin, maybe???

the Catholic Church does not get involved with wars tht are caused by those OUTSIDE the Church... usually Communists... Nazis... Muslim terrorists... as has been the case in the last few wars

Pius XII SAVED 1000s of Jew's lives in WWII

he defied Hitler every way he could... He didn't spoutate to the whole world how hideous Hitler was because once when someone did something like that, that pastor's church was attacked by the Nazis and MORE Jews were led to their deaths... There is a book about this... can't recall the title... but i wish people would read it...

and then there are other examples, but i am running out of time.

Your church started the Crusades.

So your statement is patently false.

In 1787, Pigneau de Béhaine, a French Catholic priest, petitioned the French government and organized French military volunteers to aid Nguyễn Ánh in retaking lands his family lost to the Tây Sơn. Pigneau died in Viet Nam, his troops fought on until 1802 in the French assistance to Nguyễn Ánh.

The Ratlines: Helping Nazis to flee

At the end of the war, top Catholic officers organized the so-called ratlines that allowed Nazi war criminals to flee towards South America and other destinations via Francoist Spain.

Bishop Alois Hudal and Cardinals Luigi Maglione, Eugene Tisserant and Antonio Caggiano, as well as the Roman Seminar in San Girolamo degli Illirici of Father Krunoslav Draganović were specially active in this task.

Thousands of presumed European Catholic immigrants, actually Nazis in disguise, were able to escape from Europe using these networks.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholi...d_Nazi_Germany
The exact nature of the relationship between the Vatican, Germany and Italy is a complex one and open to interpretation, but what is known is that certain members of the Catholic clergy played a crucial role in organized "ratlines" that allowed many prominent Nazis to escape.

here we go again... (hey... that reminds me of Reagan... what a lovely thought)

but anyhow

if ppl will read histroy... as that Garden guy doesn't seem 2 want to

they will see that the Catholic Church saved thousands, maybe millions of Jews in WWII

book, Pope Pius XII and WW II would be a good place to start.

but there are many other books also

Yes it did, but it's small sucesses do not outweigh its monumental failure in dealing with Hitler and Mussolini during the run up to WWII.

What the RCC did was essentially start the fire, then rush into the building and rescue a few people in an attempt to become the hero.

Why do you keep bearing false witness against me?

But then since you have no clue about what following Christ is all about, I guess I need to forgive you for your sin against me.
