It is not a case of being a “spiritists” as you put it or anything to do with any new age philosophy or doctrine, but doing as I said for you to do in my 1st posting on this thread, then you'll learn how and what you can be saved from that requires you first learning the truth of the spirit and soul.
When you do that you will learn how and what you can be saved from. The blessings from that knowledge is awesome as God begins to move in your behalf, whether it be signs and wonders or other answers to your prayers is something that God decides.
However, it is the lack of knowledge that God said causes His people to perish, and by the same token it is the knowledge of the truth that causes Him to appear strong on their behalf. (let me know iof you need verses for that)
But, make no mistake about it with the knowledge of God in your heart, your heart becomes the place that Jesus said He is gone to prepare were father and son can be together.

Romans 8:23 And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.

Why are you talking about learning about what you can be saved from, and learning the difference between soul and spirit? Cannot God save us by His Spirit? And then the question is what has He saved us from and what can He save others from.

Can salvation occur before we are judged by Jesus on the day God has determined Jesus will judge us?
In other words, can a person be born again (saved) before that time? Is it possible to be born again before you die?

What do the scriptures say?
I Peter 1:23.
Born again, that is, born from above, is simply another term used to describe the gift of salvation.
Becoming born from above, is not by works any more than being born the first time was by our works.
What greater salvation can there be than to be born from above?
1. Jesus Christ was from above, we are born from above.
2. Jesus Christ was born the son of God, we are born from above sons of God, I John 3:1-2
3. Jesus Christ as the son of God had responsibilities and privileges assigned and given to him. We, too have responsibilities and privileges given to us. Ephesians 2:10, Galatians 4:1-7
Born again refers to our gift of salvation.

How do the scriptures use the term "born again" as opposed to Hindu thought?

Until you learn how to overcome sin you haven't been saved from anything and you are still as you were.
Those who are condemned already for not believing on the name of the son of God are condemned unto living in sin. On the other hand those who do believe on the name of the son of God have been given a way to overcome sin.
But first you have to learn how, something that you are not going to learn how until you do as I have said.
But you always know better than me

Salvation is about God saving us by the Holy Spirit. We don't learn to overcome sin on our own.
